‘Women run harness racing’: why Team Teal is so important

Since 2014, the success of Team Teal’s campaign by reinswomen to raise awareness of ovarian cancer has shown just how vital women are to the sport.

But don’t take our word for it, have a listen to the words of those closely involved in the campaign in recent interviews on SENTrack’s TrotsLife.

Team Teal background
The Team Teal campaign sees female drivers in Australia and New Zealand wear teal-coloured driving pants to raise awareness of ovarian cancer. Since 2014, the campaign has raised $2.5 million for ovarian cancer research, education and awareness across Australia and New Zealand.

Organised by WomenCan, the campaign runs from February 1 until March 15. During that time, when a reinswoman drives a winner in Victoria, HRV and wagering partner Tabcorp will each donate $200 to the Team Teal tally, to the tune of $400.
