OVERVIEW: Welcome to the 2018 Inter dominion Pacing Championship and welcome to the outstanding race of the evening. Plainly put there are three potential Speed Map scenarios which may materialise here and if you get your Atlas right then finding the winner will become a much easier task. The most likely map, particularly if you take Shane Tritton at his word, should see MY ALPHA ROCK (1) begin like a rocket and resist the early advances of both WRAPPERS DELIGHT (2) and then TIGER TARA (4). If that happens without anyone busting a boiler then the race more than likely becomes a battle between TIGER TARA (4) in the breeze and WRAPPERS DELIGHT (2) hard up on his back. At first glance you could be forgiven for believing that WRAPPERS DELIGHT (2) looks the obvious winner in that playbook but TIGER TARA (4) has won four of the last seven times he’s found the breeze in transit and if he’s come through that shock NZ FFA failure last time out he’ still the one to roll. As outlined WRAPPERS DELIGHT (2) looms as the clear and present danger though smaller cases can be made for exciting Kiwi Jewels winner IM PATS DELIGHT (9) who’ll be praying for a top-end war and MY ALPHA ROCK (1) who was huge in the Vic Cup when last here and won’t get a better chance to beat the big boys than this. Also spare a thought for JOES STAR OF MIA (11) who possesses blinding point-to-point speed and clearly be mindful of the fact that either WRAPPERS DELIGHT (2) or TIGER TARA (4) may well find the front.
