OVERVIEW: Christmas has certainly arrived early for all of the 12 trotters engaged in this third ID heat for squaregaiters given the fact that for depth and quality it is infinitely inferior to the one which follows it tonight. Sadly, because the race is so situation dependant we can’t really lose our minds backing MAORI LAW (8) but the fact is he was staggeringly good on night one of this series, he’s the only horse in this qualifier who can win the series as a whole and if he trails the leader in transit there’s almost no way he gets rolled. The only other runner almost guaranteed of accumulating serious points here is FABRICATION (1). He was just solid in his ID preliminary Saturday night but from the pole draw here he either leads or trails (most likely leads) and from either role he should finish on the dais. The other key runner from a class perspective is KYVALLEY BLUR (12) who draws deplorably but simply must improve on his middling night one effort while BIG JACK HAMMER (5), MONTY PYTHON (11) and KINGDOM COME (9) are others that went well enough on Saturday night that they stay under consideration for multiple investments here.
