OVERVIEW: IN AN IDEAL WORLD (2) is a classy colt, which finished third in the Breeders Crown Final last season. He struck trouble when resuming then he took on a strong field in a heat of the Nutrien Classic last outing so he should prove hard to beat here. MISS ARI (9) is resuming since a ninth in the Super Series Final in September but she has been performing well at the trials and she has the speed to figure in the finish. INEXORABLE (7) endured a tough run and battled on strongly for second at Cranbourne last outing. She sprinted sharply via the sprint lane to win three starts ago and she should be competitive again. BELLA LOUISE (6) is stepping up in class but was a comfortable winner at her debut and OLIVIA ROSE (1) is not without a chance from the pole position.

OVERVIEW: FESTINALENTE (6) began quickly to lead and set up a reasonable tempo when second behind Lady Salina at Geelong last outing. She is not as well drawn for this assignment but she is usually competitive against this class and she is worth thought again. ILLAWONG PHOENIX (2) began quickly to find the lead and won comfortably at Kilmore two starts ago. She is backing up quickly from her effort at Shepparton on Tuesday but she is worth thought again. DANCINGONSTARLIGHT (7) was runner up twice on this track prior to a fifth at Ararat, where she raced wide over the latter stages in fast time. She is a tough mare and is not without a chance. FEEL THE BUZZ (8) can sprint to the line quickly with the right trail forward and OH NO NEVER AGAIN (9) ran a creditable fourth last week.

OVERVIEW: GOLDEN SHOOZ (7) was performing extremely well at the trials prior to a first up third at Melton, where she attempted to lead throughout at Metropolitan level. This is a huge drop back in class and she should be fitter after that performance so she warrants respect. FERRIGNO (6) was aggressively driven early and eventually gained cover when he scored impressively at Bendigo last outing. This is a race of similar standard and he should be competitive again. TARA VICTORY (4) is a fast beginner and has been racing consistently. She met a strong field and battled on gamely for third at Cranbourne last outing so she is worth a ticket each way. DELIGHTFUL CHARM (1) is a possible improver from the pole position and CALEDONIAN RANGER (5) will take catching if he is able to find his favourite role of being the pacemaker.

OVERVIEW: BULLETPROOF KID (4) is a fast beginner and is working up to a win. He led out then took cover when a game second behind the classy filly I’ll Be Gone last outing so he must be respected. CARUSO STAR (2) trailed the leader throughout and won easily at Cranbourne two starts ago. He didn’t have much luck at Maryborough last outing and is worth another chance. KEAYANG OMAR (7) is resuming since November but he won a trial at Bendigo on Monday and must be considered as a winning chance. ULTIMATE SAFARI (9) is also a recent trial winner and he is capable of improving on his numerical form.

OVERVIEW: COMMODUS (6) is resuming since a third in the Breeders Crown in November but he was extremely impressive in winning a Melton trial last week and he is clearly the class runner of the field. YOU REALLY GOT ME (2) is searching for a hat trick and finished off quickly when he scored last week. He has been placed in five of his six starts at Cranbourne and should be competitive again from his good draw. PROMISE DREAM (4) produced an incredible performance to win at Bendigo three starts ago, where she raced out three horses wide for the entire trip. She has missed out at her past two attempts but she is worth another chance. RIGHT OF REPLY (1) is a fast beginner and is drawn to receive every chance so he must be respected.

OVERVIEW: The Super Series champion SASSY GALLEON (6) is resuming since November but finished second behind the smart trotter Gatesys Gem at a Geelong trial effort on Monday night and should take beating against this line up. JACK SPRAT (1) led out then took cover when second behind Tracy The Jet when resuming. He is drawn to obtain a similar run in transit and must be respected. STRZELECKI SUN (7) galloped away and lost his chance when unplaced at Kilmore last outing. He missed away and produced a big performance when second prior so he is capable of making his presence felt if he begins safely. TUNBRIDGE (4) is resuming since January but will be fitter after a recent trial fifth at Melton and she showed plenty of promise during her last preparation so she warrants respect.

OVERVIEW: SAMBEZIA (2) is a first starter for trainer Chris Svanosio, which finished second at his latest trial performance behind Steady Dream (won Maryborough since) at Melton. He strikes a suitable assignment first up and should go close. PARLEZVOUS PATTY (5) finished off well for third behind I’m In Style last outing and he is working up to a win. He is still learning and should continue to improve with the benefit of experience. PLEASE LAYLA (6) was runner up at Cranbourne two starts ago, where she finished off reasonably well. This is a race of similar standard so she is worth a ticket each way. DESERT ROYALE (7) is poorly drawn for his debut but he has had an extensive trial campaign and he has shown some ability so he cannot be left out of calculations.
