OVERVIEW: JILLIBY AURA (10) is resuming since a comfortable victory in the Nutrien Classic back on September 13 but she will be fitter after two recent trial performances with the latest being a win at Terang. She is very talented and should run a big race first up. ALDEBARAN ADA (1) battled on well for a close up fourth in the Redwood Classic at her latest attempt. She won twice at Bendigo recently and will take catching if she can hold a forward position at the start from the inside alley. ZOOLU (9) won at her first two attempts and has contested the Tatlow Stakes and the Redwood Classic in her recent appearances so her form line is sound. She has the perfect trailing draw and should be competitive against this line up. NORTHERN TRUSCOTT (4), TIPPLE TIME (5) and ELLE PERFECTO (7) are all worth thought in multiple combinations.

OVERVIEW: GLADIATRIX (6) has only suffered defeat once in six appearances in New South Wales and has performed well at the trials leading up to her resumption. She won a $50,000 event at her latest racetrack appearance and she is sure to make her presence felt. QUEEN OF SEES (5) is a beautifully bred filly that performed extremely well at the trials prior to her first up defeat behind Whoshotthepieman. She has a lot of ability and should have benefited from the experience so she is worth following. HALLEBESOFINE (1) was slow to begin from the standing start and lost her chance in the Redwood Classic. She finished third in the Nutrien Classic prior and she is a bold front running trotter, which should go well under these conditions. CEE CEE IN PARIS (2) and HARPERSEVEN (8) are both quality fillies that are resuming. They are winning hopes if they are somewhere near their peak form.

OVERVIEW: MECARNO (2) left a trailing position to move up without cover and produced a big performance to win the Victoria Derby last outing. He is building up a good strike rate and should prove hard to beat from his handy draw. ALRIGHTY (3) began quickly to find the lead and held off his rivals to win at Melton last outing. He does seem to perform best over the sprint distances but his very good gate speed will see him being prominent throughout. SAM NIEN (1) won the Nutrien Classic after sitting in the trail and was placed in the Need for Speed Prince from the same position at his latest attempt. There is a good chance he will be trailing the leader again so he must be considered as a winning chance. VYTIS (6) worked hard early before taking cover behind the eventual winner MECARNO (2) when a creditable third in the Victoria Derby. He is worth thought along with MUSKEE (9).

OVERVIEW: COMMODUS (9) settled in the second half of the field and couldn’t work into the race when sixth in the Victoria Derby. He won three in a row prior including the Need for Speed Prince Final and he is the class runner of the field so he is worth another chance. IJUSTCALLEDTOSAY (1) has been unplaced at his past three attempts but this is his best draw for some time. The last time he drew on the pole position, he attempted to lead throughout in the Nutrien Classic Final and was run down late by Sam Nien so a bold showing is expected. ENCHAUFFOUR (8) is rising in class on his past two victories but he has the perfect draw behind IJUSTCALLEDTOSAY (1) and will be dangerous via the sprint lane. TENASEA WHISKEY (3) joins trainer Lisa Pitt and rates as a knockout chance. FARROKH (2), KARBINE (4) and EZRA KAI (5) are all capable of showing up without surprising.

OVERVIEW: KEAYANG KURKI (2) will appreciate the absence of Tracy The Jet in this heat as she has been unplaced behind the star filly at her past four attempts, including the Nutrien Classic and the Need For Speed Princess Finals. She is racing in outstanding form and gets her chance to break through for a deserved victory. SASSY GALLEON (1) is a speedy mare and is perfectly drawn to suit her racing pattern. She trailed the leader throughout when second behind Queen Kizen at Globe Derby last outing. ALDEBARAN SUE (6) showed terrific gate speed to lead from a wide draw when she scored at Maryborough last outing. This is a harder race but she is a definite place chance on her latest performance. MYHEARTBEATSTRUE (8) is resuming since a Kilmore victory in September. She hasn’t been to the trials but her overall form is sound and she is drawn to gain an economical run throughout.

OVERVIEW: It is an outstanding heat and might give a good guide to what horse will win the Final of this series. KEAYANG BAZLENKA (5) remains undefeated from three starts and hasn’t been fully tested in each of those performances. He finished off in slick final sectionals when a runaway winner last outing so he should prove hard to beat again. THE PREACHER (1) ran a massive race in the Redwood Classic and is drawn to go close. He galloped away from the standing start in the Redwood Classic, settled in eighth then weaved a passage through the pack, being beaten by a narrow margin at the end. NOTANOTHA NAUGHTY (7) raced without cover for the final 1400m and hit the front at the 300m before staving off the challengers to win the Redwood Classic. His only defeat in four starts came in the Tatlow Stakes behind Howdy Mate and he will prove hard to toss again but he has the worst barrier draw out of the major chances. JAYS ALL THAT (3) won the Australian Gold Final, UNCLAD (4) was third in the Redwood Classic and MUNNY THE MUNSTER (6) is resuming since a terrific second in the Nutrien Classic so it is a quality field.

OVERVIEW: HOWDY MATE (1) strikes the much easier of the two colts and geldings heats and is clearly the one to beat. He has already won the Gavin Lang Trot, the Nutrien Classic and the Tatlow Stakes this season so he is a quality trotter but if there is a query about the performance this evening, it will be his manners from the pole position as he has had gait issues previously. I CHOOSE YOU (10) was a runaway winner at Melton in August then had no luck whatsoever in the Nutrien Classic Series, where he finished off fast in a heat then broke stride at the start in the Final. He has been performing nicely at the trials in New South Wales and is not to be underestimated. ALDEBARAN TUCKER (9) is resuming since a third in the Nutrien Classic in September. He was runner up at a Maryborough trial effort on Sunday and should run his usual honest race. WHAT THE TOOTH (3) and TIMMY WHIZ (8) are both worth thought in multiple combinations.

OVERVIEW: It is the return clash of JILLIBY DREAMLOVER (5) and I AM WILMA (6) with only a nose separating the pair in the Aldebaran Park Bracelet on Redwood Day. JILLIBY DREAMLOVER (5) went into that race being first up since May and used the sprint lane to run down I AM WILMA (6) in that terrific battle so with natural improvement, she is a good chance of coming out superior again. I AM WILMA (6) has been placed in all of her eight starts for the season including third placed efforts in the Need For Speed Princess and in the Victoria Oaks. She is a quality filly and will give a bold showing again. PROHIBITED GRACE (9) won the Breeders Crown Final last season and all of her recent performances have been at feature race level so she appears to be a good place hope. She finished third in a heat of the Victoria Derby two starts ago then followed with an unplaced effort in the Final. WIND CHASER (7) is rising in class on her first up victory at Maryborough but she has the ability to run into a place.

OVERVIEW: IRON WOMEN (6) finished third in the Nutrien Classic Final, sixth in the Need For Speed Princess Final, fifth in the Victoria Oaks and third in the Aldebaran Park Bracelet so she has been racing soundly at an elite level. She is a versatile filly and looms as one of the leading chances here. BERTINIELLI (3) boasts handy credentials in New South Wales and missed out narrowly in a thrilling finish at Penrith last outing. She is yet to be placed in three Victorian starts previously, which is a concern but she has too much ability to dismiss. SKY FLAIR (2) is resuming since a twelfth in the Nutrien Classic Final in September but has been placed in two recent trial performances. She has had three wins and four placed efforts from nine starts for the season and she has the early speed to be prominent throughout. LADY MANCHE (1) and SHES SKY HIGH (4) are both minor place hopes in the event.
