Four horses make their way into my Black Book this week for the reasons outlined below in the detailed summary of all Victorian trials from the past seven days.

Full list of Black Book horses to follow can be found at the bottom of the article.

SHEPPARTON

Trial 1: - MASTER MACH MANUS showed his customary gate speed and set up a slow tempo early before being forced to go quicker by ANOTHER COLONY (3 back pegs), which left the markers and moved up to apply pressure with 1100m remaining. MASTER MACH MANUS remained strong in the final circuit and was able to lead throughout. THE CRIMSON PRINCE settled five back on the inside and moved into the one out and one back trail at the 600m mark. His momentum was halted when ANOTHER COLONY started to yield ground but he picked up a lot of ground late. The two pleasing aspects of his trial were the way he hit the line and also how he settled during the middle stages of the event. STREAMLINER finished third after trailing the leader and was well clear of ROCKIN IN MEMPHIS (4 back markers). LA PLAYER was second last for the majority of the trial and picked up fifth in front of ANOTHER COLONY and SAMMARI was last throughout.

Mile Rate: - 1.59.7           Final Half: - 57.3               Margins: - 3m, 4m

Trial 2: - MISS ARTEMIS settled four back on the markers and came out three horses wide in the back straight on the final occasion. She sprinted home well and was able to take out the trial by a metre. DONTRATTLEHISCAGE is a former New South Wales trained pacer that has joined trainer David Aiken. He appeared to be very lazy when in the lead and wobbled around the final corner but he did show some ability. WALKAMILEINMYSHOES settled three back on the markers and moved into the death seat at the 600m mark. She switched back to the inside of DONTRATTLEHISCAGE on the home turn and worked through for a close up third. MA KATIE settled in fifth position and ended up running into fourth. The trotter CLAUDYS PRINCE started to pick up some ground from last but broke stride approaching the home corner and OUR EDWARD LEWIS dropped out after trailing the leader.

Mile Rate: - 2.3.8             Final Half: - 60.3               Margins: - 1m, 1m

Trial 3: - DYNAMIC LEGACY dashed to the lead in the early stages and was always in command. LORD LOHKI was able to angle in behind the leader on the first turn and he came to the outside in the home straight. He chased valiantly but DYNAMIC LEGACY was safely able to hold him at bay. THE RED WARRIOR (Bacardi Lindy – Spring Fly 2.5.1, $25,456) settled five back on the markers and was able to run into a distant third. He was beaten by a long margin but he was never extended and he was doing it nicely at the end. BLACK CAT CLAW settled four back on the markers and switched back to the sprint lane turning for home. She was coming home with THE RED WARRIOR but he had a little bit too much momentum in the straight. PATCHWORK settled three back on the markers and finished fifth in front of CLAUDY AN GUS, which missed the start by 15-20m and was last of the main pack throughout. COMMAND ME missed the start badly and was tailed off throughout.

Mile Rate: - 2.5.4             Final Half: - 60.1               Margins: - 10m, 15m

Trial 4: - YARRAWONGA LASSIE was able to lead throughout and won the trial by a large margin. She shot well clear before the home turn and switched off a bit in the latter stages but she completely dominated her rivals. CRESCO GERONIMO finished second after trailing the leader throughout and receiving a good run in transit. SCREENTIME (He’s Watching – Realexpectation 2.1.5, $26,768) settled four back on the markers and worked through late into third. COOL ROCKING DADDY (A Rock N Roll Dance – Shake It Mama 1.54.7, $257,588) is a nicely bred gelding but he showed he had a lot to learn with his performance. He was keen early and dropped back to the tail then made a move at the 1400m mark and tried to get up without cover but he wanted to pace roughly and hang in. He was able to ease into the one out and one back trail but MISS CRACKER, which was racing without cover, began to yield ground at the bell and carted him back to last. He then had to try to make another move over the latter stages. MISS JESSIE JAMES (Badlands Hanover – Listenup 2.0.5, $24,250) was three back on the markers and beat home QUIET ACHIEVER (Bettors Delight – Artistic Dancer) (6 back markers/ 1-2/ last markers) and MISS CRACKER dropped out to finish at the tail of the field.

Mile Rate: - 2.4.1             Final Half: - 62.7               Margins: - 60m, 1.5m

Trial 5: - HOLSTEIN (Major Bronski – Havilah Mistress) continued his very good trial form by leading all of the way and winning by a handy margin. TOPZAVSKI also followed up his good trial effort from a week earlier with a handy finishing second. He came from five back on the markers and seemed to have something in reserve at the end. BENATAR came from last of the six runners and was able to pick up third in front of STARESS, which settled three back on the markers and moved into the death seat with 600m remaining. THEANGRYWIFE (In The Pocket – Mistylyn) settled four back on the inside and tried to follow behind STARESS but couldn’t accelerate. She finished fifth in front of MISS GABBY OKANE (Stonebridge Regal – Ok Rita), which trailed the leader throughout.

Mile Rate: - 2.4.1             Final Half: - 60.2               Margins: - 10m, 8m

MILDURA 17/11/19

Trial 1: - PUOPOLO began very fast to find the lead easily then took cover in the back straight on the first occasion. He came to the outside with 500m remaining and quickly put the issue beyond doubt and raced clear to win by an increasing margin of twenty-two metres. RAINBEACHGIRL settled three back on the inside and was able to just snare second from ZIVA (Shadow Play – I’m Living The Dream 1.57.4, $103,431), which set the speed for most of the journey. The other trio were tailed out after RUBY REACTOR (Auckland Reactor – Larilla Lace 2.3.2, $13,585) galloped at the start and caused interference to both PRINGA CUP (Falcon Seelster – Malabe Art 1.58.5, $13,675) and CELEBRITA. They had a race of their own but PRINGA CUP was able to draw away from RUBY REACTOR and CELEBRITA in the final circuit.

Mile Rate: - 2.1.7             Final Half: - 61.0               Margins: - 22m, 1m

Trial 2: - SHE SAID YES trailed the leader CORNWALL CLASSIC and was able to move to the outside with 500m remaining. She hit the lead on the home turn and kicked back strongly once challenged in the straight. OUTA CONTROL settled three back on the markers and followed SHE SAID YES through when she made her forward move. He loomed up as a big winning chance in the home straight but SHE SAID YES kicked on a little too well. RHYFLECTIVE raced in the one out and one back position and came wide in the back straight on the final occasion. He ended up being out four horses wide when SHE SAID YES came away from the markers but he was able to work into a distant third. TALE OF THE DRAGON raced without cover throughout and beat home the early leader CORNWALL CLASSIC. SHADOW TERROR galloped at the start and was tailed off throughout.

Mile Rate: - 2.3.3             Final Half: - 60.6               Margins: - Head, 9m

Trial 3: - RENAISSANCE ART settled in the one out and one back trail before peeling to the outside with 700m remaining. She worked to the front coming out of the back straight and was able to sustain the run and win the trial. SHE CAN ROCK came from three back on the inside and finished off solidly into second position. SYSTAMATIC dropped back to third after setting the speed but was able to beat home DASHING JULIUS (trailed the leader), which was held up for a run at a vital stage and NEVAEVABEND, which raced in the death seat throughout.

Mile Rate: - 2.5.0             Final Half: - 61.6               Margins: - 3m, 6m

MARYBOROUGH 17/11/19

Trial 1: - The brilliant pacer IM SIR BLAKE returned in style with a runaway victory in fast time. He settled last of the four runners, came to the outside with 900m remaining and put the pressure on a long way from home. RADIUS settled three back on the markers and moved through to trail the leader STEEL SCREENS when LOVELY MOTH dropped out from that position at the bell. He tried hard and did trial well but had no answer to IM SIR BLAKE’s brilliant turn of foot. STEEL SCREENS raced keenly and set up a genuine tempo in the lead. He also performed soundly but he did race very roughly in the last part of the trial. LOVELY MOTH dropped out to be a long last.

Mile Rate: - 1.59.0           Final Half: - 57.9               Margins: - 8m,6m

Trial 2: - SER PATRICK gained a one out and one back trail from the mile marker and took off with 600m remaining. He quickly got the better of the leader DYNAMIC DIESEL and blasted away to win the trial easily. DYNAMIC DIESEL had a brief battle with OUR IVY for the lead and eventually won the right to set the pace. He held down second at the end with FREMARKSKUZO (Skyvalley – A Poem Kept 2.6.0, $16,385) finishing third after being left without cover. CHANTILLY DEE (Danny Bouchea – Town Player 2.3.2, $26,275) trailed up behind SER PATRICK and worked into a distant fourth from OUR IVY and MOLLYS PURSE, which galloped and missed the start by approximately 25m before following the pegs home.

Mile Rate: - 2.10.1           Final Half: - 59.4               Margins: - 20m, 4m

Trial 3: - TWO TELL settled three back on the markers before moving into the one out and one back trail at the bell. He was able to work home too well out wide on the track in what was a slowly run trial. TOUCH OF ARMBRO trailed the leader and used the sprint lane to snare second position. IRON CHARIOT (Julius Caesar – Sheza Beach Babe 2.3.2, $13,388) settled four back on the markers before moving up without cover from the bell. He battled on quite well for third in front of the early leader LORIMERKYLIE. STATESWOMAN came from last at the bell and finished just behind the place getters so her run was very good, although the sectional times weren’t overly flash. MISTER CHISHOLM settled down sixth on the back of ORPHAN CODY (Grinfromeartoear – Can Y Gwent 1.59.8, $21,055) and was able to get past that pacer in the run to the judge.

Mile Rate: - 2.5.8             Final Half: - 59.5               Margins: - 6m, 2m

Trial 4: - It was a classy trial for the trotters and SAVANNAH JAY JAY was impressive in downing DELTASUN with IONA SPIDER in third and MEET MICHAELANGELO was last of the four. SAVANNAH JAY JAY settled three back on the inside and followed DELTASUN everywhere he went until launching his winning claim on the home turn. DELTASUN popped off the inside with 600m remaining and was quick to pounce on the lead but couldn’t repel SAVANNAH JAY JAY’s challenge. IONA SPIDER fought on for a distant third and MEET MICHAELANGELO was pretty keen early before he was able to restrain for cover.

Mile Rate: - 2.0.4             Final Half: - 58.3               Margins: - 3m, 15m

Trial 5: - MISS MORAINE (Pet Rock – Major Love) pushed forward to lead shortly after the start then took cover behind MAJOR MAYHEM. She enjoyed a nice trip and was able to accelerate via the sprint lane to win comfortably. ROYAL APOLLO (Shadow Play – Tessanover) settled down four back on the markers and was held up for a run at a vital stage before sprinting through the middle late for second. MAJOR MAYHEM battled on fairly well for third in front of ACES JETT (Bettors Delight – Donna Rosso), which was shuffled back on the markers after showing good gate speed to lead early.  THUMP (Village Jolt – Umi 1.56.5, $36,725) had broken gear shortly after the start and was retired from the trial.

Mile Rate: - 2.5.3             Final Half: - 60.2               Margins: - 4m, Head

BENDIGO 17/11/19

Trial 1: - ENDSIN A PARTY stepped away quickly from the standing start and angled across from out wide on the track to find the lead. He was always in control of the trial and was untouched in going down to the line to win easily. SPIDERS DEVIL held down second after trailing the leader throughout and the former Perth trotter ACOUGARZSUN finished last of the three runners but did a good job for a lower grade runner. He was slowly away and was the first to make a move coming out of the back straight. He will be taking on a much easier class of horse at his Victorian debut.

Last Mile: - 2.2.1               Final Half: - 59.7               Margins: - 7m, 2m

BLACKBOOKER: - Acougarzsun

Trial 2: - CARIJOY trailed the leader GRACIES SHADOW and came to the outside on the home turn. She sprinted home well to win seemingly with something in reserve. COSTLY MISTAKE (McArdle – Costly Bonus 2.3.8, $4,450) settled three back on the inside and finished fourth ahead of AMERICAN SPIDER (American Ideal – River Reos 2.4.0, $2,250), which came out wide from sixth (1-2) on the home turn, with ATTENTION SEEKING (Somebeachsomewhere – Secret Bonus 2.4.1, $4,225)(4 back markers) finishing sixth. DREAM ASSET (1-1) was last of the seven runners to cross the line.

Last Mile: - 2.3.6               Final Half: - 59.4               Margins: - 2m, head

Trial 3: - DIAMOND REACTOR (Auckland Reactor – Superbarby 2.0.2, $15,421) was able to lead throughout and take out the trial for the 3yo trotters. PINVALE VICTORIA settled down last of the five runners and was able to make up late ground to finish second. LOLA DEVEREAUX trailed the leader and galloped with 300m remaining. She recovered and finished quickly via the sprint lane so she should have gone close to winning. ALDEBARAN PHOEBE (Yield Boko – Aldebaran Peggy) was four back on the markers throughout and finished ahead of RULES DON’T APPLY, which settled down in third, moved into the death seat at the 600m mark and galloped when challenging for the lead approaching the home turn.

Last Mile: - 2.8.1               Final Half: - 61.7               Margins: - 8m, 8m

Trial 4: - The former Canberra mare REGRETABLE settled four back on the inside and came away from the markers at the bell. She was able to flush out some cover when LIBBA RACY left the back of the leader half way down the back straight. She followed LIBBA RACY into the race and sprinted home too well in the final 150m. LIBBA RACY was second and nicely clear of KENANDI DENESE (Falcon Seelster – Golden Illusion), which came from last to pick up third. The early leader THREE SHADOWS dropped back to fourth with TOPSY KATRINA (Badlands Hanover – Hazel Dawn 2.1.2, $13,685) (3 back markers) finishing at the tail after yielding ground in the final 600m.

Last Mile: - 2.2.6               Final Half: - 58.7               Margins: - 4m, 20m

Trial 5: - SUNROSE MASTER trailed the leader NOVAS DELIGHT in a trial of just three horses and he came to the outside at the quarter pole. He quickly ran to the lead and sustained the run to win comfortably but he probably was entitled to as he was the class runner of the field on assessments and he did lead the St Arnaud Cup field for a long way a week earlier. NOVAS DELIGHT finished a clear second and PAYING YOUR WAY was last of the three runners throughout.

Last Mile: - 2.0.3               Final Half: - 56.4               Margins: - 7m, 10m

MELTON

Trial 1: - RUM AN ROYAL was able to work past the early leader BACARDI BINDI and found the lead. She set up a slow tempo mid-race and drew away at the finish to win comfortably. Mile Rate: - 2.6.8             Final Half: - 59.27             Margins: - 10.5m, head

Trial 2: - JUST ANYTHING angled in behind the early leader and was held up for a run at a vital stage before angling into the clear at the 150m mark when a narrow but decisive winner in trial two. He really did accelerate nicely late. CAABELLO settled three back on the markers and came to the outside on the home turn. He finished off strongly but not as fast as JUST ANYTHING so he had to be content with second placing. ARMCHAIR DRIVE settled four back on the markers and moved into the one out and one back trail at the 700m mark. He loomed up to hit the lead on the home turn but couldn’t withstand the challenge of the top two. ZAMBA DEVILLE began brilliantly from the standing start and led from the handicap of 10m. He was collared on the home turn and ended up finishing fourth ahead of DIAMOND WES, which raced without cover for the majority of the trip. COCO LOMBO walked away from the stand and was very awkward early. She settled down in last position but was able to get past THE GIRLS GOT FLAIR in the latter stages.

Mile Rate: - 2.6.3             Final Half: - 60.92             Margins: - Head, 2m

BLACKBOOKER: - Just Anything

Trial 3: - YOURSHOUTROCKY was able to work past the early leader SANDAY and find the front with just over a mile remaining. He backed off the speed mid-race and was able to quicken appreciably when SANDAY moved away from the inside to challenge with 600m remaining. YOURSHOUTROCKY safely held off SANDAY but the second horse was very brave and they drew well clear of the others, which was headed by ROGERVALERIO LOMBO (Rock N Roll Heaven – As I See It Lombo 2.1.6, $4,418). He settled three back on the markers. EASY ROLLING came from five back on the inside and finished fourth while SOEXTRA (Bettors Delight – Lagoon Lady 1.57.3, $203,183) tried to come from a clear last and ended up moving into fifth. SOHO CRUCIO was without cover early before angling onto the markers to be three back and wasn’t pushed out to the line in third position. SHADOW STYLE settled down last and was the first to make a move with 600m remaining. He was able to beat OUR SUMMER WIND to the line in the quick dash to the judge.

Trial 5: - MISS DANGERFIELD was sixth on the outside in the early stages before landing the one out and one back trail at the 1200m mark. She made a forward move out three horses wide with 700m remaining and was able to sustain the run to win the trial comfortably. DOUG was a very nice trial second. He raced without cover early before slotting onto the markers to be three back at the 1200m mark. He accelerated very quickly for a trotter along the sprint lane to snare second from the early leader TREMBITA. ILLAWONG MIMI finished fourth after trailing the leader throughout and CONFUSIONANDDELAY was fifth. He was slow out from barrier one, ended up last on the outside and moved up one further position (1-2) when DOUG found the markers. POWER OF ZEUS (Bells And Whistles – That’s Final 2.2.7, $3,600) was the last one following the markers and beat home THE CATALYST (5 back markers) and EL CEE (4 back markers).

Mile Rate: - 2.1.2             Final Half: - 57.72             Margins: - 11.5m, 1.5m

Trial 6: - MANTHADEE was given a very hard hit out and recorded a very quick mile rate of 1.56.5 for the 2240m. RULE OF THUMB tried in vain to get across MANTHADEE at the start and they went very quickly but MANTHADEE never backed off the tempo and ran away from RULE OF THUMB to win by a big space. KONAN galloped at the start and SUPALINER was checked so that pair were out of play from the commencement of the trial. KONAN did give SUPALINER a start and was able to beat her to the line.

Mile Rate: - 1.56.5           Final Half: - 57.31             Margins: - 38m, 75m

BLACKBOOKER: - Manthadee

Trial 7: - CELTIC CASH was successful after racing on the outside of the leader throughout. He was headed by BUDDY TOUGH (Majestic Son – Shes Commando 2.1.1, $91,642) in the straight but was able to kick back and get the prize. Neither horse was fully extended in the run to the finish. MONTPELLIER finished third after trailing the leader and got clear of I CHOOSE, which finished fourth after being three back on the markers throughout. HES THE MIGHTYSPIN finished fifth after racing one out and two back ahead of YANKEE VELVET (4 back markers) and ALDEBARAN STEVIE, which led and broke stride approaching the final corner. ILLAWONG PARRIS (Pet Rock – Breenys Lady 2.3.3, $6,120) claimed second right on the line after racing behind the leader throughout. LAKEY LOU was able to work to the front early but she wanted to hang in a little when the green light went on. She enjoyed a nice run throughout and ended up finishing in third position. Mile Rate: - 2.2.5             Final Half: - 58.40             Margins: - 4m, Nose

SHEPPARTON 19/11/19

Trial 1: - WRAPPERS DELIGHT was clearly the class runner of the field and was able to push forward and find the lead past the early front runner in A GOOD RED. He dominated proceedings and was untouched in his soft victory. CARLA CLARE chased gamely. She dropped out to last early before making a forward move in the death seat from the 800m mark. SCOTLYNN BEACH was held up for a run at a vital stage from three back on the markers but he was able to squeeze between A GOOD RED and YERRINGTON BOB (1-1) on the home turn. It appeared as though he would find the line nicely when he gained the clear passage but he only battled late finishing third in front of YERRINGTON BOB and A GOOD RED.

Mile Rate: - 1.58.9           Final Half: - 57.3               Margins: - 8m, 12m

Trial 2: - HIGH FLUX angled across to be four back on the markers before gaining a one out and one back trail behind POWER REACTOR. He launched a winning claim before the home turn and scored easily. IM SCORCHING trailed the leader WOTPLANETRUFROM after trying to hold the inside advantage early. He was held up for a run at a vital stage and worked home reasonably well when he gained a clear passage with 250m remaining. WALKAMILEINMYSHOES picked up ground out wide on the track to finish third ahead of POWER REACTOR, which left a trailing position to move up without cover at the 1100m mark. MISS JESSIE JAMES (Badlands Hanover – Listenup 2.0.5, $24,250) angled onto the back of HIGH FLUX in the back straight on the final occasion but ended up finishing fifth ahead of the tiring WOTPLANETRUFROM.

Mile Rate: - 2.3.8             Final Half: - 61.0               Margins: - 10m, 8m

Trial 3: - MA KATIE used the inside advantage to be prominent early and was content to take cover behind DONTRATTLEHISCAGE but the latter was very green and hung badly away from the markers with a mile remaining. MA KATIE went through to find the front and was in complete control thereafter, racing clear to win by a large margin. SKY CHICKA finished second after following MA KATIE for the entire trip. DONTRATTLEHISCAGE rolled right off the track at the 600m mark and it appeared as though he may be pulled out of the trial but he recovered and rolled into a distant third. He obviously has some ability but he has a lot to learn. WINGING GRIN (Grinfromeartoear – Winging It) was three back on the markers for the majority of the trip and beat to the line MISS GABBY OKANE, (Stonebridge Regal – Ok Rita which raced without cover early before finding the one out and one back trail behind DONTRATTLEHISCAGE.

Mile Rate: - 2.2.0             Final Half: - 60.6               Margins: - 20m, 18m

Trial 4: - MAJESTIC ACTION settled down in midfield but started to race keenly so he took off at the mile marker and circled around the field to find the lead. He settled better in the front running role and he jogged to the line to win with plenty in reserve. BUILDER BOB pushed forward out wide on the track and found the lead over the early front runner KRAZE. They both peeled to the outside on the home turn but were no match for MAJESTIC ACTION. THE RED WARRIOR came from second last on the markers (8th) to finish strongly out wide on the track for an eye-catching fourth. CAPRIOSKA used inside runs from six back on the markers to pick up fifth in front of MAJESTIC SPEED (5 back markers) and MCKILLA EXPRESS (4 back markers). STAR GAZING was virtually the only horse to be away from the markers throughout and finished eighth ahead of ANTIGONUS, which broke stride with 600m remaining.

Mile Rate: - 2.7.0             Final Half: - 62.6               Margins: - 5m, head (approximately)

KILMORE 20/11/19

Trial 1: - QUEEN OF LOVE was able to angle in and trail the leader CINKARI and remained behind the leader when CINKARI galloped and switched back to the sprint lane with a lap to run, SHADOW JUSTICE was challenging for the lead at his point and was able to take over the front running role. SHADOW JUSTICE appeared to be a little lazy out in front and QUEEN OF LOVE was able to take advantage of this, pouncing in the straight to get up and win the trial. QUEEN OF LOVE and SHADOW JUSTICE were the only two horses in the trial that trotted throughout. CINKARI finished a distant third after galloping at the 1100m, ALDEBARAN JETHRO was fourth after breaking stride in the score up, ALDEBARAN TIPPETT was fifth after making an error in the back straight and DEE retired with his misdemeanour at the start.

Trial 2: - MISS HULLABALOO settled one out and two back mid-race and came out wide on the track approaching the home turn. She finished off with plenty of momentum and was able to get up and defeat ENROLLED. ENROLLED was in the back half of the field in the back straight on the first occasion then he progressed forward quickly to run to the lead at the 1500m mark. He rolled away from the inside before the home turn but kicked on for second placing. ANOTHER MORTGAGE began extremely fast from the outside of the front row and dashed across to find the lead. She gained cover mid-race and obtained an inside run on the home turn to finish third. COULD BE WOODY was able to work past ANOTHER MORTGAGE shortly after the start then took cover behind ENROLLED. He got the run underneath of ENROLLED before the home turn but couldn’t quite finish it off late. CELESTIA was last on the markers before moving into the running line with a half mile remaining. She finished off well to run a close up fifth in front of MARNI WHITE, which was forced to race without cover. KIWI KALAHARI (1-1) beat home BEAUJANGLES (A Rocknroll Dance – Beauty Secret 1.52.4, $425,921), which was the only horse in the trial that hadn’t raced previously.

Mile Rate: - 2.4.4             Final Half: - 59.9               Margins: - 2m, ½ head

Mile Rate: - 2.2.4             Final Half: - 58.6               Margins: - 2m, 20m

Trial 4: - ULTIMATE ME settled down last of the six runners and the field was strung right out mid-race so it was a good performance to win the trial. He sustained a long run from approximately 30m from the winner with a half mile remaining. ATLANTAS was headed off at the start by HEATHBERN ELIMAY but was able to circle around and find the lead shortly afterwards. He was headed by ULTIMATE ME with 100m remaining but kicked back very strongly at the end. HEATHBERN ELIMAY held down a distant third after racing a little keenly and she was also pacing roughly during the latter stages. NISHABRO (Blissfull Hall – Yeronga Ecila 2.2.7, $12,580) was five back on the markers and pulled hard in the run. She was able to finish fourth in front of INSULTING (3 back markers) (He’s Watching – Intoxicating 1.57.7, $79,060) and QUIETACHIEVER (4 back markers) (Bettors Delight – Artistic Dancer), which started yielding ground with 600m left to travel.

Trial 5: - GOOBER settled down in third position and allowed the leading pair of PICKLES MAGEE (Majestic Son – Our Flash Girl 2.3.4, $38,675) and FETCH IT to get away from him with a strong tempo being set early in the race. He gradually picked up the ground and followed FETCH IT, which came to the outside with 400m remaining. He got a run in between PICKLES MAGEE and FETCH IT and hit the lead half way down the straight. He wanted to look at the winning post and pricked his ears on the line but he got the job done albeit narrowly from FETCH IT. PICKLES MAGEE just held down third from the eye-catching run of SHOWMETHECASH (Ready Cash – Showmethemaori), which came from a conspicuous last and made up many lengths. SAVVY KYVALLEY (Andover Hall – Aldebaran Dream 2.3.4, $53,200) finished last in the trial after settling down in fourth position early.

Mile Rate: - 2.8.6             Final Half: - 64.6               Margins: - Head, 8m

BLACKBOOKER: - Showmethecash

Trial 6: - SAY YOUR PRES was on his worst behaviour at his Victorian debut but he has been performing nicely at the trials and he recorded another trial victory in the last at Kilmore. DAQUIRI stepped away brilliantly from the standing start and found the lead but SAY YOUR PRES was quick to move around the outside to find the front running role. He went down to the line to win with something in reserve. SKYESKI settled three back on the markers and worked home nicely for second ahead of DAQUIRI and BELLES SON stepped away safely then just followed the field around without having any pressure placed upon him at all.

Mile Rate: - 2.4.2             Final Half: - 60.3               Margins: - 2m, 6m
