Take on New Zealand in tonight's racing with some some insights from thetrots.com.au's man over the Tasman, Michael Guerin.
Best bet: Girls On Film (R8, No.8): Second to Luby Lou in NZ Trot Oaks and has genuine class. Trotted perfectly at the workouts last Saturday.
Manners crucial: Utmost Delight (R9, No.6): Group one winning mare and biggest concern is first standing start. Getting ready for the Jewels so won’t be totally screwed down but can get away with it.
Drop back: War Machine (R6, No.12): Raced in Rowe Cup last start and not disgraced. Might have a class edge on a few tonight.
Best bet: Habibti Inta (R5, No.15): Very impressive at Alexandra Park last two and back on home track. Tough handicap but future open class player.
Southland raider: Get Lucky (R3, No.3): Very good in only race start here and the winner of that race not eligible. Trialled superbly against older horses last week and looks a natural.
Well placed: Billy Badger (R9, No.9): Has been racing in near open class an drops a long way back. Might have the gate speed to negate wide draw.
