MASCOTT finished third after trailing the leader throughout and was a long way clear of SNEAKIN AROUND, which broke stride at the start and again at the 600m mark. MARIACHI was last of the four but he made a quick dash turning out of the back straight and was able to make enough room to drop in behind the leader with 800m remaining. PEEL MY GRAPES was able to go on and lead throughout from MARIACHI, which was quite game with ARU AND ME in third. He raced keenly and was unsuited by the slow early tempo but he did hit the line hard to finish second. ISNTSHEJUST settled four back on the markers but quickly whipped around the field to lead in the back straight on the first occasion. She was gunned down late but the two horses that beat her are very smart.
