Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) advises that Tanya McDermott has resigned from her role with HRV HERO and will finish her time with the program on 30 July 2021.

McDermott has been Manager of the HRV HERO program since its inception in 2015.

“Tanya has been a dedicated and passionate driver of the HRV HERO program since its inception and can be extremely proud of what she has been able to achieve in the standardbred horse welfare space during her six years as Manager,” HRV General Manager – Integrity Brent Fisher said.

“HRV HERO has undergone a significant transformation in recent times and Tanya’s work behind the scenes to help transition the program to its next phase has been appreciated.

“We have a strong platform upon which we can further build out HRV HERO thanks to Tanya’s commitment. I wish her every success in the future and thank her for her efforts in the HRV HERO space.”

HRV will make further announcements regarding the program’s management in coming weeks.
