The most favoured horses on Sulky.App are calculated by utilising statistics, including horse-specific sectional data as well as race and driver statistics with a variety of likely speed maps.

The following eight horses are the most favoured horses on Sulky.App in each race tomorrow night at Melton.

These horses may not be the best rated sectionally, but the speed map likely works in their favour and against the better rated horses.

RACE 1 – TRIPLE EIGHT (nine)

Triple Eight follows out Tango Tara (two), who will be looking for the fence. He will find a good position on his recent form. He has had brilliant recent sectional times and will be in the finish.

Curly James also has strong sectional times and goes best when he is first-up. He will likely be following Triple Eight into the finish and will be a strong contender.

RACE 2 – EBONYS AVENGER (two)

Recent sectional times for Ebonys Avenger are only fair against this field. There are horses that have better times than her, but will need to cover extra distance from poor barriers. Specifically, these are Majestical Belle, Love Gun, Harry Stamper and Sebastians Boy.

Ebonys Avenger will likely find the fence first with her early gate speed, while the other standout horses will be working in the run. She will be a massive threat late when her competition is vulnerable.

RACE 3 – COURAGEOUS SAINT (one)

Courageous Saint has the best gate speed on the front line and has very strong recent sectional performances. Stir Me Up and Radius have the next best sectional times. He has the choice to hold the front or take the sit and either way he will be competitive late.

If Courageous Saint hands up the lead to Classic Mission (four), it’s likely the finish will be fence dominant with Classic Mission, Courageous Saint and Radius finishing near the top.

RACE 4 – DHAULAGIRI (one)

Dhaulagiri is a sectionally-consistent, well-performed horse coming out of barrier one. He’s likely to be crossed by Sweetpassion and potentially Quaddie VC, but he will remain on the fence and be flashing late.

Heavenly Charm is likely to follow through and get a good run. Her recent sectional performances have been great and she will also be up in the finish.

RACE 5 – SHANLOU (four)

Shanlou is the third best rated horse sectionally in this race. Young Bluey (seven) and Jillibyjacksparrow (11) rate better, but are disadvantaged by poor barriers. If Shanlou finds the front and has an easy run, she will be hard to beat. Son Of Mac (10) will improve from this run first-up and be in the finish, but happy to avoid this week.

RACE 6 – LUDACROUS (one)

A very versatile mare who should just lead and win. Best rated sectionally in this field with the best barrier draw. Royal Division (two) is only 0.4 lengths faster in his gate speed and should not be able to cross Ludacrous early.

RACE 7 – KEAYANG XENA (four)

Keayang Xena had a strong sectional performance four starts back at Melton when third behind Amigos over the short trip. With her safe behaviour, she’s likely to find the front and be very hard to beat.

Hanover Da Moon is a quality performer from New Zealand first-up for Andy Gath. He needs to handle the start first-up in Australia. If he doesn’t get too far back, he will be in the finish.

Lady Adelia should be in the top three with great sectional performances recently. She is also sectionally proven to be a great swooper.

RACE 8 - THE BEACH FANTASY (one)

Sectional times are only okay for this runner, but he gets a good barrier (one) and won’t have to be running extra distance. Hittheroadjack (four) has the best sectional times and potentially has enough gate speed to lead. The Beach Fantasy and Hittheroadjack are the stand-out runners in this event.
