EMERALD STRIDE (4) beat the boys including Always Ready in the Group 1 Redwood Classic two starts back. For this reason, and the fact she has better early speed than SLEEPEE (3) the role of testing material goes with EMERALD STRIDE (4) who not only won the Redwood as mentioned above but would have won her heat for this series by a much greater margin than she did with clear running late. There’s little doubt that on established form Maori Legend winner SLEEPEE (3) and GEORGIAS PRIDE (8) who draws awkwardly but exploded late in her heat for this series loom as the obvious threats but don’t be surprised if there’s a significant move for COMMAND ME (13) who was kept super safe on debut and did a massive job to get as close as he did after losing more than 50m soon after the start.
