Race 4 - ALWAYS B MIKI ALABAR BREEDERS CROWN SERIES 21 (2YO FILLIES) FINAL (GROUP 1)

The Kiwi contingent attacking this year’s Breeders Crown series is certainly less powerful than in most seasons but the small team they have brought pack a reasonable punch and none are more likely to salute than OUR PRINCESS TIFFANY (6). To be fair we already OUR PRINCESS TIFFANY (6) was well north of average after winning all her Kiwi starts and doing so in a variety of roles but the wry smile Mark Purdon gave Blake Redden at Bendigo last weekend when asked if she was of elite quality and the devastating nature of the semi-final success she produced shortly after that interview told us all we needed to know. In all honesty she would win this race from any draw but the fact she’s virtually certain to lead has made this final a one-act affair. Best of the locals from a talent and toughness perspective is racing’s equivalent of Margaret Thatcher KUALOA (4) given her teak tough, iron lady reputation but she may need to settle for bronze medal honours tonight should TANGOINGWITHSIERRA (1) do as expected by holding any early challenges before taking the trail on OUR PRINCESS TIFFANY (6) in the early stages of the race. The other key runners from an exotic perspective are TWO TMES BETTOR (13), ENCHANTED STRIDE (8), MISS STREISAND (11) and SWIMSUIT EDITION (10) though all appear unlikely to prevail in a race which promises to be controlled at the top end of affairs.
