Bronte Nieuwenburg has outlined her selections and suggested game plan for Thursday's ten-race card at Kilmore.

R1 – 6.05pm – Buds & Branches Florist Pace – 1690m

4 – Metro Memory

9 – Harley Blue

8 – Markleigh Caz

10 – Our True Colours

Metro Memory is a versatile runner from a team that prepares their horses very well. He naturally doesn’t have the best gate speed compared to some horses drawn to his inside, so unless he’s handed the lead, he could end up in an awkward position. Regardless, he’s been racing very well and deserves the top spot.

BACK: 4 Metro Memory – 2.5 units (win)

R2 – 6.37pm – C + M Build Group Trot – 2180m

4 – Charlie Walker

10 – Dossier

9 – Manda Kyvalley

2 – Lizzies Son

R3 – 7.06pm – Mc Security Pace – 1690m

5 – Bettorsweetvictory

7 – Icanmotor

13 – Archaa

6 – Flexi Bet

Bettorsweetvictory has had to do it tough in his last two starts and was only just beaten into second near the line in both runs. In his last start, he needed to cover an extra 33 metres and was beaten by just 0.7 metres. He may have to do it tough again, but it’s hard to go past his great recent performances.

BACK: 5 Bettorsweetvictory – 2.5 units (win)

R4 – 7.36pm – Jet Roofing Pace – 1690m

9 – Shezabluechip

6 – Tex Goes Bang

11 – River Patrol

3 – Righteously

R5 – 8.06pm – Momentum Gaming Pace – 1690m

13 – Poppy Wah Wah

11 – Seathestars

4 – Sunstar

3 – Jilliby Typhoon

R6 – 8.36pm – Carlton & United Breweries Pace – 1690m

9 – Atomic Glory

6 – Micton Mouse

10 – Celestial Daybreak

3 – Conspirator

Atomic Glory is a great sit-sprinter, and he is likely to get into a good striking position from this barrier without having to burn early. He’s been getting fractious at the start recently, so if his starting manners are good, he should be right in the finish.

BACK: 9 Atomic Glory – 2.5 units (win)

R7 – 9.06pm – Tab Trot – 2180m

10 – Ringer Wells

9 – Melbreh

2 – Volsteadsdelight

4 – Coconut Mickey

Ringer Wells is the most talented trotter in this event, though his manners can sometimes be an issue. He’s first-up for Andy Gath, one of the best trotting trainers in the country. Barrier 10 will give him time and space to settle early, and if he trots consistently, he should be winning.

BACK: 10 Ringer Wells – 2.5 units (win)

R8 – 9.37pm – Beraldo Coffee Trot – 1690m

7 – Sista Evarista

11 – Prohibited Grace

3 – Christmas Babe

6 – At The Distance

R9 – 10.09pm – O' Brien Electrical 2yo Pace – 1690m

2 – Loucasso

8 – Usyk

3 – Heavenly Nikki

6 – Sweet Marion

R10 – 10.41pm – Broadstead Kilmore Maiden Pace – 1690m

6 – Tuivasa

5 – Major Crunch

7 – Ideal Affair

8 – Are Weasley

** A betting unit is typically a percentage of the total bankroll or the amount of money you are willing to risk on a particular bet – for example 1 unit is 10% of your bankroll, therefore with a $100 bankroll 1 unit equals $10.
