Bronte Nieuwenburg has outlined her selections and suggested game plan for Thursday's card at Kilmore.

R1 – 5.29pm – Warragul Pacing Cup (1st Heat) – 2180m

9 – Ruby Wingate

6 – Isolation

3 – General Lincoln

4 – Anakin

Ruby Wingate is a brilliant swooper and comes up with a great barrier here. She was absolutely outstanding last start, racing very wide over the final lap and winning impressively. She looks capable of going back-to-back.

BACK: 9 Ruby Wingate – 1 units (win) / 2 units (place)

R2 – 6.00pm – Barry Alford Memorial Pace – 1690m

9 – Do It

8 – Feel The Reign

1 – Michen Roy

13 – Hittheroadjack

This race features very mixed form, with experienced horses taking on lightly raced performers. I’m sticking with a horse who’s had just four starts — Do It. His victory at Charlton two runs back was impressive, showing he’s a talented type. He was a bit plain last start, but if he’s back to his best, he can win this.

BACK: 9 Do It – 1.5 units (win)

R3 – 6.30pm – Vale John Harland 2025 Pace – 1690m

7 – Adieu Mikennis

5 – Snazola

13 – Tex Goes Bang

12 – Denzil Debro

Adieu Mikennis is second-up here for the strong Alex Ashwood stable. She finished second in her first run for the team and is likely to improve again with more time in the stable. The well-bred Art Major mare gets a good opportunity to return to the winners circle.

BACK: 7 Adieu Mikennis – 1.5 units (win)

R4 – 7.05pm – Graeme Wilson Memorial Maiden Trot – 1690m

8 – Amartey

7 – Wind Chaser

9 – Bumper Service

6 – Ragna Thor

Amartey is an ultra-consistent maiden trotter, having placed in six of his last seven starts. He should get a good run along the fence here and, if he’s not shuffled too far back, will have the opportunity to be saved for one late run.

BACK: 8 Amartey – 2 units (win)

R5 – 7.36pm – Andrew Mallia Memorial Pace – 2180m

5 – Karuma Kev

8 – Midnight Mojo

9 – Direct Command

6 – Final Bow

R6 – 8.06pm – Reg Shinn Memorial 3yo Maiden Pace – 1690m

5 – Emjay Jazz

3 – Miki Sing

1 – Shes Magical

8 – Quick Crunch

R7 – 8.36pm – Bill Harding Memorial Trot – 2180m

9 – Against The Bridle

1 – Allwatfunjingles

7 – Billy Zippin

5 – Christmas Babe

Against The Bridle is a talented trotter, but he can often make mistakes at the start of his races. I tend to follow him closely when he draws barrier nine, as it gives him time to settle early. I rate Allwatfunjingles as his biggest rival, but with the brilliant beginner Christmas Babe in the race, there’s a chance Allwatfunjingles could get shuffled too far back.

BACK: 9 Against The Bridle – 2 units (win)

R8 – 9.06pm – Jet Roofing 3yo Maiden Pace – 1690m

4 – Fear The Power

5 – Sonora Sunset

9 – Little Whippet

6 – Hurricane Hooly

R9 – 9.33pm – C&M Build Group Trot – 2180m

8 – Dossier

7 – Ringer Wells

1 – Love Who

2 – Atego Dawn
