Ryan Phelan has your form covered for racing tonight at Shepparton.
R1 – 6:27pm – Hunter Rural Pace - 1690m
7 – Emily Vincent
5 – Good Tobe Locksley
4 – Direct Command
2 – Country Rockstar
R2 – 6:57pm – Avenel Equine Pace – 2190m
10 – Icanmotor
1 – Amber Alert
9 – Pinnacle Hope
3 – Ace Duigan
I’ve been with Icanmotor his last couple of starts where he’s been quite good, but this is a significantly easier race. There’s a form line around Amber Alert from their clash five runs back, where Icanmotor can from back in the field to win. Confident he can return to the winners list.
BACK: 10 Icanmotor – 2.5 Units (win)
R3 – 7:34pm – Cottrells Electrical 2yo Maiden Pace – 1690m
8 – Mad Punta
7 – McWizard
2 – Cmon Sharky
5 – Just Like Nugget
Of the unraced brigade, there’s nothing that jumps out from the trials, so I must be with the exposed form. Mad Punta has impressed in his 5-start career and has been unlucky not to break through. He has an awkward draw, but his times should be enough to account for this field with even luck.
BACK: 8 Mad Punta – 1.5 Unit (win)
R4 – 8:08pm – JDC Contractors Pace – 2190m
3 – Big Sledge Hammer
6 – The Iron Duke
7 – Quaddie VC
4 – Herakles
R5 – 8:42pm – Saddleworld Shepparton Pace – 2190m
3 – Final Bow
8 – Ozzie Joybell
9 – Bet Sheza Lady
1 – Our Mystery Bet
Final Bow ticks a lot of boxes to return to the winners list here. Last time she won five starts back, she was a half head away from Ozzie Joybell and was flashing late. I think they are the two strongest hopes here, and the barrier draw advantage is key.
BACK: 3 Final Bow – 2 Units (win)
R6 – 9:19pm – Elite Horse Transport Maiden Pace – 1690m
1 – Ive An Idea
4 – Field Of Poppies
6 – Miss Magik
2 – Muslet
R7 – 9:50pm – Jam Packed Donuts Trot – 2190m
3 – Dhoni Trouble
5 – Whats The Tea
7 – Abbie
8 – Hurricane Jane
I was very strongly with Dhoni Trouble when he went down last week as a strongly backed favourite. I think the inside draw hurt his chances in retrospect, and he did trot with not a lot of confidence when wider on the track. I like the draw for him here to get balanced and in a better rhythm to return to his best form.
BACK: 3 Dhoni Trouble – 3 Units (win)
R8 – 10:27pm – Alabar Bloodstock Pace – 2190m
7 – John Vincent
9 – Olly Odd Potts
8 – Tophut Johny
4 – Shezabluechip
R9 – 10:53pm – Your Sold Real Estate Pace – 2190m
4 – Wingate Guy
1 – Muriel
2 – Rockstar Leo
8 – The Majors Girl
Wingate Guy isn’t a horse who wins out of turn, but I did like the way he sustained a long wide run in decent time last start. He’s not going to get too involved early, but if he gets nice cover should be able to run over the top of these if there’s a solid enough tempo.
BACK: 4 Wingate Guy – 1 Unit (win)

** A betting unit is typically a percentage of the total bankroll or the amount of money you are willing to risk on a particular bet – for example 1 unit is 10% of your bankroll, therefore with a $100 bankroll 1 unit equals $10.
