Scherger That was outstanding winning his heat last week, doing plenty of work in the run and still proving too strong late. While he moves to the back row here, that might suit — with strong early tempo likely from the front line, he can settle off the speed and launch late. With Anthony Butt taking the reins, he loses nothing in the driver’s seat and looks a genuine winning hope again.

He’ll likely be driven quietly and look for gaps late. With the right tempo and a slice of luck, he’s capable of finishing right over the top.
