Bulletproof Boy was excellent fresh after a month off, charging home for third over a short trip from a tough back-row draw. He strips fitter now, steps up to a more suitable distance, and while this field is stronger, his class always demands respect.

My Uncle Stan was slightly underwhelming last start, but prior runs were full of merit with little luck. He draws ideally here to lead or take a trail, and the sprint trip suits. Expecting him to bounce back and prove hard to beat.

3/9 Draw A Dream – Mark Pitt/Emma Stewart
Draw A Dream misbehaved badly last week and drifted alarmingly in betting, but post-race checks found nothing amiss. The fact she backs up suggests her powerful stable is willing to forgive, and on raw ability, she deserves another chance.

4/1 Roarforroscoe – Juanita Breen/Juanita Breen
Roarforroscoe could be the value runner. He’s had a horror run with barriers in tougher company but has been racing soundly. He now draws the pole, begins fast, and could either lead or enjoy the trail. Capable of running a cheeky race at odds.

5/3 Aldebaran Zeus – Chris Alford/Brent Lilley
Aldebaran Zeus gets his best set-up in some time. He finally draws to settle closer and looked much improved last start. With key rivals drawn poorly, this could be his chance to return to winning form.

6/10 Imperial Monarch – Jason Lee/Marg & Paddy Lee
Classy trotter Imperial Monarch resumes from a six-month break with three solid trials under his belt - one against pacers. The draw hurts, but if there’s genuine speed, expect him to launch late.

Race 7 – 2240m Prydes Easifeed Trot
7/7 Kyvalley Michael – Kate Gath/Brent Lilley
This looks a wide-open race, so going for some left-field value in Kyvalley Michael. He showed plenty as a 2 and 3-year-old and should improve with a run under his belt. Capable of surprising if things fall into place.

8/2 Beta Than Love – Chris Alford / Samantha Gangell
Beta Than Love brings strong form into this, with two dominant wins at Cranbourne. He draws to lead or settle handy and boasts a perfect record under trainer Samantha Gangell. This is tougher, but he’s in great touch.

8/2 Ima Terminator – John Caldow / Ian Caruana

10/3 Howdy Mate – Craig Demmler/Jess Tubbs
Howdy Mate was very green on debut, missing the start and giving them a head start before flying late. He’ll benefit from the experience and the longer trip could help. Hard to be confident in a juvenile trot, but the raw talent is there.
