A new timeslot and a new wave of up-and-coming stars will mark a significant new chapter for the Vicbred Super Series in 2023.

The $2million series for two, three and four-year-olds of both sexes and gaits gets underway at Kilmore tomorrow night with $10,000 heats for two-year-old pacing colts and geldings and two-year-old fillies.

Three heats of The Storm Inside series for colts and geldings and three heats of the Art Major series for fillies will highlight the bumper 10-race card.

The opening qualifier for the boys will pit APG Gold Bullion winner War Dan Buddy against the Bathurst Gold Crown victor Chart Topper, while the second heat looks a match between the Emma Stewart stablemates Bay Of Biscay and Some American, and talented Sydneysider Soho Spectre.

Stormryder, the winner of three of his four starts to date, looks to have a mortgage on the third heat from barrier two.

The undefeated Renewal will be the one to beat in the opening heat for two-year-old fillies.

The second heat appears a wide-open affair with the NSW Bred Final winner Luvareschs set to lock horns with the QBred Breeders Classic winner Ever Art and the undefeated Draw A Dream, while the dual classic placegetter Eureka Jo and the royally-bred Vague Beauty will face-off in the final heat.

The following night at Ballarat will feature heats of the three-year-old series for both sexes, while Shepparton will host heats of the four-year-old pacers’ division on Thursday night (August 31).

Heats of the two and three-year-old trotting series for both sexes will be staged at Maryborough on Monday, September 4, with the four-year-old trotting qualifiers at Bendigo on Thursday, September 7.

The $20,000 semi-finals for the two, three and four-year-old pacers will be staged at Melton on Saturday, September 9 and the $150,000 Group 1 finals will be at the same track on Saturday, September 16.

The $20,000 Vicbred Silver and $10,000 Vicbred Bronze for pacers across the three age groups will be conducted at Bendigo on Friday, September 15.

Group 1 $100,000 Finals of the Haras des Trotteurs-sponsored trotting series will be held at Melton on Saturday, September 16.

$20,000 Vicbred Silver races for two, three and four-year-old trotters will be run at Kimore on Thursday, September 14.
