If your mare is served by a stallion who is physically standing in Victoria, South Australia or Tasmania during the relevant breeding season these options can apply:
If your foal is notified to Victoria (HRV) it will automatically be nominated for Vicbred.
If your foal is notified outside of Victoria (not to HRV) you can make your Foal Vicbred Eligible via Harnessweb or contacting HRV.
If your mare is not served by a stallion physically standing in Victoria, South Australia or Tasmania, she must be inseminated in and foaled in one of those states and her foal must be notified to HRV to be VICBRED eligible.
A sustaining age acceptance or series fee payment must be paid to win a voucher.
The vouchers can be redeemed by one of two ways:
The purchase of a Vicbred Pure or Vicbred Platinum nominated yearling at any of the Victorian standardbred yearling sales;
To access the service by a Victorian registered sire, subject to the mare being inseminated and foaled down in Victoria. The resulting foal will then be deemed Vicbred Platinum.
You need to complete the back of the Certificate, ensure you sign the Certificate and forward the Certificate to the appropriate person:
To the Stud: if redeeming for a service fee
To the Sale Company: if redeeming for a Yearling Purchase
Only one transaction can be used unless using for multiple service fees as the same stud farm.
The managing owner will receive a digital copy by email the following day of the race.
No, the voucher is distributed to the managing owner of the partnership/syndicate.
The lessee will receive the voucher.
The date of expiry is 1 May 2027
By returning the certificate, which must be filled out correctly, from either a service fee or sales credit along with a tax Invoice.
Yes, the same owner and horse can win multiple vouchers.
Yes, owners or one owner can combine multiple vouchers to either the sales companies or stud farms.
