Harness Racing Victoria form analyst Craig Rail thinks a young pacer in the Julie Douglas yard might be able to make an impression when he heads to the races.
Vince Lombardi, who is named after the late great NFL coach, is an unraced son of Vincent who impressed at Bendigo on Monday night.
“He was five back on the markers and moved up without cover from the 900m. He went down fighting and when one considers the winner Valiente is a 10 times race winner and Vince Lombardi is yet to make his debut, it was an excellent effort,” Rail wrote.
Vince Lombardi is one of six new Blackbook entries for Rail this week, with his updated list of horses to follow at the bottom of the trial report.
