Female drivers to wear special Matildas silks tomorrow night

The Matildas’ FIFA Women’s World Cup heroics have captured the attention of the country and Victorian harness racing will throw its support behind our nation’s stars at tonight’s Melton meeting.

Reinswomen Ellen Tormey, Kate Gath, Annalise Scott, Jodi Quinlan and Rory Coverdale will all sport specially designed Australian silks – sponsored by Hyland Sportswear – at different times during the 11-race card from headquarters.

The meeting incorporates night two of the TAB FastTrack 1200 series and commences with the opening event at 5.28pm.

The first six races on the card are all 1200m sprints, with the last of those to go one minute after the scheduled 8pm kick-off time of the Matildas’ semi-final showdown with England.

After more than 600 entries were received last week, SEN Survivor is running again and can be entered here.

You can watch all the coverage on Sky Racing and at TrotsVision.com.au, and listen to it via RSN927 and SENTrack.

SENTrack will provide extensive coverage of the races between 5pm-9pm, with Damian Watson, Tim O’Connor and Darren Carroll to provide tips and analysis on the night.
