‘Team Zav’ event set to light up Beckley Park this Friday

The appearance of TAB Eureka contenders Catch A Wave and Captain Ravishing will provide an added incentive to get trackside at Beckley Park on Friday for a huge night of fun and giveaways.

The finishing touches are being put on the “Team Zav” event, which will transform the Geelong Harness Racing Club complex with food trucks, market stalls and children’s entertainment complimenting a 10-race card.

Catch A Wave and Captain Ravishing will perform in exhibition workouts between races before someone is drawn as the lucky winner of a prize worth up to $25,000.

The person will receive a portion of prizemoney won by “Team Zav” slot runner Captain Ravishing in the $2.1million TAB Eureka, as well as paid flights, car hire and accommodation so they can cheer on the horse at Menangle on September 2.

“There is a lot to look forward to,” Eureka slot holder and event organiser Jo Zavitsanos said.

Catch A Wave is set to compete against the Zavitsanos-owned Mach Dan on Friday, with Captain Ravishing’s sparring partner yet to be confirmed. Both hit-outs will be shown live on TrotsVision, with Dan Mielicki to call all the action.

Visit www.teamzav.com.au for more information on the competition or watch Ryan Phelan’s interview with Danny and Jo Zavitsanos below.
