Lameness sees Alpine Stride scratched from ID22

Alpine Stride has been withdrawn from the 2022 SENTrack Inter Dominion Pacing Championship.

Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) stewards have confirmed the scratching of the Darren Binskin-trained runner, who underwent a veterinary examination today and was found to be lame in the left foreleg.

The eight-year-old gelding was drawn barrier three for his opening round pacing qualifier at Bray Raceway on Saturday night, but his omission from the series means first emergency Mona Mia gains a start for trainer Kari Males.

Mona Mia, who has an ODM status, will begin from outside the second line at Ballarat.
