Some impressive performances and fast times were the talk of Monday Metrospective on Trots Life, but when it came to the new Blackbookers it was all about the girls.
HERE ARE THIS WEEK’S BLACKBOOK ADDITIONS:
CONSTANT R3N7
JB: She must be the best horse in Australia to have raced nine times without finding the podium. She’s very much a work in progress, but one suspects she’ll break her maiden very soon at very nice odds.
NR: Looks to have a few tricks and missed the start, but you couldn’t help but be impressed by the way she worked home up the straight. Yet to run into the placings, on that performance you would suspect with racing and natural improvement she can be breaking through soon – and maybe at a price!
BALTICA R2N8
JB: One of the sickest watches ever. Emmett opted to race four poles and she was dragged back then held up and squeezed before charging into fourth. She should have tested the winner.
NR: Absolutely no luck in her first-up run, she looked to travel well and the gaps never appeared when she needed them. Wherever she goes next start she is worth following.
BOXOFCHOCCOLATES R10N4
NR: As her name would suggest, you never know what this mare is going to produce. Her past three runs have been excellent and whilst she still isn’t the complete package, her consistent efforts and improved racing manners makes her a mare to follow.
