Stars align for Jack stable at Bendigo this Saturday night

Three of the Russell Jack stable’s best pacers will return from breaks at the weekend’s metropolitan meeting in Bendigo.

The final stop in the Saturday night roadshow sees the emerging Hi Manameisjeff join Group 1 winners Just Hope and Line Up for first-up runs.

After working quickly through his grades and winning the Group 2 City of Melton Plate, Hi Manameisjeff was sent for a spell following his down-the-track finish in the Group 3 Wagga Pacers Cup during April.

He’s back alongside Line Up, who will make his debut for the stable in the Smartline Personal Mortgage Advisers Pace.

The 2020 Victoria and NSW Derby winner left the care of Darren Binskin following his second placing at Menangle in April before spelling and then moving to Jack’s Lemnos barn.

Hopes are that the five-year-old will progress to the Inter Dominion series later in the year, but that will of course depend on how he performs in the coming months.

Star filly Just Hope (pictured) is the other excitement machine back at the races this weekend.

A last-start Group 1 APG Vic Gold Bullion 3YO Fillies Final winner in May, the daughter of Bettors Delight will tackle the Bendigo Locksmiths Pace without the benefit of a trial.

The Victoria Oaks sits as the first major goal for the three-time Group 1 winner, who has won over $300,000 from just 19 career starts.

Saturday night’s Bendigo meeting will feature 10 races, with Kirsten Graham and Paul Campbell heading up the wall-to-wall coverage for TrotsVision.

This will be the final Saturday night meeting away from Tabcorp Park Melton before metro racing returns to headquarters on August 6.
