Burning Questions: Dunny joins regulars for Melton deep dive

There were some real fashion statements on this week’s episode of Burning Questions as Horsham trainer-driver Aaron Dunn ran with the hi-vis while panel regulars Jason Bonnington and Nikkita Ross looked ready for next January’s Gordon Rothacker Medal evening.

They joined Andy Gath for a deep look at Saturday night’s Tabcorp Park Melton meeting and tried to solve the following riddles:

  • Are Spellbound and Maajida the dominant forces that this week’s Silver Chalice would have us believe?
  • Is Tornado Valley here to take a millionaire’s victory lap or is he here to win?
  • Just how good is Interject and will gate one prove a blessing or a curse?
  • Will Bondi dominate the last or is he vulnerable?

It was a day to remember for Aaron Dunn. Not only did he go back-to-back from last year to this year in the Matthews Petroleum Hamilton Pacing Cup, he also trained the quinella, with Forty Love taking the honours and last year’s winner Dee Roe finishing second, driven by Jackie Barker.

While the ink is far from dry on the $500,000 Summer Of Glory bonus cheque, superstar mare Keayang Zahara is on track to provide her connections with a windfall after her effortless win in the Group 1 $100,000 Aldebaran Park Maori Mile.
