Bettor Twist has maintained outright favouritism for the Villawood Properties Breeders Crown Series 3YO Fillies Final following the barrier draw for Saturday night’s Group 1 showdown.
The Kiwi star, who won her semi-final in grand style at the weekend, will start from four while two of her key rivals must navigate a path from the back row.
They are Victoria’s champion filly Ladies In Red and stablemate Joanna, who have 12 and 13 respectively, while fellow Stewart runner Beach Music looks the likely leader after landing barrier two.
Tough Tilly (Stewart) has barrier eight, while Andy Gath’s Lifes A Beach came up with one.
Stewart-trained trio Beyond Delight, Major Moth and Act Now were all on the top line of betting at $3 to win the IRT Australia Breeders Crown 3YO Colts and Geldings Final, but the latter is now the outright elect after drawing the front row on Monday night.
The reigning Victoria Derby champ has five, while Beyond Delight (10) and Major Moth (11) have the back row to contend with.
Gath-trained Yambukian was one of the key firmers following the barrier draw after scoring the inside alley.
His stablemate Catch A Wave was out of the draw and will start from outside the back row in the Mimosa Homes Breeders Crown 2YO Colts and Geldings Final, but remains favourite for the $300,000 Group 1 despite a little drift out to $1.90.
A number of other runners firmed, with Heza Son Of Agun (Matthew Craven) and Hes Charlies Angel (Charlene Gusman) among those to trim up in the market after drawing barriers one and three respectively.
Stewart-trained Petillante was favourite for the Ride High Breeders Crown 2YO Fillies Final after her qualifying victory on Saturday evening, but has been replaced by stablemate Sounds Perfect.
Petillante has barrier 11, while Sounds Perfect has four and was backed into a $2.60 chance late Monday night.
Peter Manning’s star juvenile Plymouth Chubb will be favourite in the Aldebaran Park Breeders Crown 2YO Trotting Colts and Geldings Final after securing barrier six, while semi-final winners Tough Love (Rickie Alchin) and Illawong Benita (Jodi Quinlan) have gates two and seven respectively for the Aldebaran Park Breeders Crown 2YO Trotting Fillies Final.
Woodlands Stud Breeders Crown 3YO Trotting Colts and Geldings heat winners Kyvalley Hotspur (Brent Lilley), Parisian Artiste (Alex Ashwood) and Keayang Ninja (Paddy Lee) have barriers 12, six and four for their elite-level contest, while the red-hot Queen Elida (Lilley) is set to start from six as she bids for a third Group 1 triumph in the Cobbitty Equine Farm Breeders Crown 3YO Trotting Fillies Final.
