“I was obsessed with horses” – Patsy Abrahams talks her trots life

Harness racing owner-trainer-breeder and lifelong horse lover Patsy Abrahams has talked about her trots life with Paul Campbell in the latest edition of Tooth Be Told.

The fascinating podcast relives Abrahams long and varied life with horses, including her trots career and what drove her passion.

“My father, because his father had been such a big gambler and owner of horses, he didn’t have a lot of interest in horses, and my mother was absolutely terrified,” Abrahams said.

“So I really don’t know where I got it from, because at about 10 or 11 I was obsessed with horses, and I went to the Irving’s riding school and that’s where I first started.

“I’ve done just about everything, I’ve ridden in galloping races, I’ve ridden in a point to point, of course I did a lot of showriding and that sort of thing, and then the harness horses.”
