Professor Jack Anderson appointed to HRV Board

Minister for Racing Martin Pakula today announced the appointment of Professor Jack Anderson to the Board of Harness Racing Victoria (HRV).

Prof. Anderson is an expert in sports law and integrity matters and has been appointed for a three-year term.

A Director of Sports Law Studies at the Melbourne Law School and an arbitrator with the National Sports Tribunal and the International Amateur Athletics Federation, Prof. Anderson also serves as an ethics commissioner with the International Tennis Federation, a disciplinary tribunal member with Football Federation Victoria and a member of Basketball Australia’s National Integrity Advisory Group.

“Jack Anderson’s expertise in sports law and integrity matters will be a great asset to harness racing and the operations of the HRV board,” Minister Pakula said.

HRV Chairman Dale Monteith welcomed Prof. Anderson to the Board.

“Jack Anderson will be a valuable contributor to the Board of HRV and we’re very much looking forward to working with him. I’m delighted to have him join the team,” Mr Monteith said.
