Vale Jack Knight

Prolific owner and breeder Jack Knight will be farewelled at a Kilmore service on Friday, where friends and family will celebrate the life of the transport magnate and trots lover who passed last week.

Mr Knight hails from a family with a rich harness racing history and through his life maintained that with a big stable of horses to his name, including 16-time winner Warfare, 22-time winner Kentucky Beauty and 11-time winner Itz Billy Hillis (pictured).

Mr Knight also served as a committee member of Kilmore Racing Club, where he was a life member.

A service will be held at 10.30am on Friday at Christ Church, 11 Union St, Kilmore. Drinks and a get-together will follow at Kilmore Trackside afterwards.
