Harness Racing Victoria revisits claiming opportunities

Harness Racing Victoria’s racing office will reintroduce claiming opportunities for participants on a trial basis in September and October.

The office will trial two metro rating bands with optional claiming prices attached to allow for more competitive opportunities and scope to reinvigorate claiming races.

Both the metro NR 70-79 and NR 80-89 bands will receive an optional $15,000 and $25,000 claiming price respectively on September 26, October 4 and October 19.

The racing office will continue to engage with industry participants and review the outcome of this initiative.
