Miss Australiana has had two career starts where she impressed in both, winning the $250,000 Nutrien Equine Classic in her second start. However, she shied at the winning post at Ballarat in her first start and her current maturity worries me. She is first-up with an awkward barrier, in windy conditions and on a track she has not seen before. I believe a better bet in this race is Let Her Roll. She is also unbeaten, and her wins have been exceptional. She should find the front and be too hard to beat.

The horses in this event are lightly raced so it can be hard to line up their ability. However Always Hot debut win was brilliant in June where he beat Forty Love. He ran a fantastic mile rate in that run and looked like he could have gone even faster. He has a good barrier to work with and should be in the finish.
