GOODFORM – Bronte’s tips for Wednesday at Bendigo

Bronte Nieuwenburg has outlined her selections and suggested game plan for tonight’s nine-race card at Bendigo.

R1 – 5.55pm – Impact-A Fasteners & Construction Supplies Pace – 1650m

10 – Alifetimeforliving

4 – Foregone Conclusion

2 – Olivia Rose

7 – Shotinthedark

The smart Kerryn Manning-trained filly Alifetimeforliving resumes here. She has raced at the top level for her age group for most of her career, so while she has only two wins to her name, many of her performances have been impressive. The barrier makes things tricky, but she is likely to have improved during her time off and is naturally one of the classiest runners in this field.

BACK: 10 Alifetimeforliving – 2 units (win)

R2 – 6.27pm – Petersen Westbrook Cameron Lawyers Bendigo Pace (1st Heat) – 2150m

2 – Shezabluechip

4 – Our Mystery Bet

5 – Kimchi

6 – Speculator

Shezabluechip did it tough to win last start at Shepparton. She should get an easier run this time from barrier two. Glenn Bull’s team is going very well and she looks well placed here.

BACK: 2 Shezabluechip – 2 units (win)

R3 – 7.00pm – Spring H2o Concession Drivers Pace – 2150m

10 – Direct Command

8 – Kalkadoon Dreaming

6 – Hungry Hogarth

1 – Treacheroustimes

R4 – 7.32pm – Apco Service Stations Strathdale & Kangaroo Flat 3yo Maiden Pace – 2150m

3 – Assigned

6 – Onyx

2 – Whenimready

7 – Just Like Nugget

R5 – 8.00pm – Bendigo Locksmiths Pace – 1650m

9 – Ted

1 – Foxy Two Gloves

10 – Jetter Son

2 – Lochiel Lad

Former New Zealand pacer Ted caught my eye at a recent Bendigo trial. Although he finished third, he was held up in the straight and looked to have a motor. Barrier 9 gives him room to settle early, and Julie Douglas has a strong record with runners first-up from New Zealand.

BACK: 9 Ted – 2 units (win)

R6 – 8.30pm – Aldebaran Park Trot (1st Heat) – 2150m

3 – Faith Full

4 – Ikara

2 – The Night Queen

8 – Always Skye High

R7– 9.00pm – Forty Winks 3yo Maiden Trot – 1650m

8 – Sebastians Waiting

1 – Little Miss Valley

3 – Fashionista

9 – Walking Understarz

Sebastians Waiting certainly has the ability, he’s just still learning what racing is all about. This maiden event looks his easiest test in some time. If he finds luck and trots throughout, it’s winnable.

BACK: 8 Sebastians Waiting – 2 units (win)

R8 – 9.30pm – Smartloans Bendigo Trot – 2150m

3 – Bullapark Beno

1 – Romantic Nina

8 – Tictok

6 – Watch And Act

Bullapark Beno is a trotter who is always close to the finish when he does everything right. With the scratching inside him, he now comes out of barrier two and is likely to get a good run in transit.

BACK: 3 Bullapark Beno – 2 units (win)

R9 – 10.03pm – Simonds Homes Bendigo Trot (2nd Heat) – 2150m

5 – Zesta La Go Go

4 – Frankythefrenchman

2 – Whats The Tea

7 – Off Your Faceski

QUADDIE (Races 5 – 8)

9, 1, 10

3, 4

1, 3, 8, 9

1, 3, 6, 8

** A betting unit is typically a percentage of the total bankroll or the amount of money you are willing to risk on a particular bet – for example 1 unit is 10% of your bankroll, therefore with a $100 bankroll 1 unit equals $10.
