Matt Newberry will take centre stage on the international harness racing scene this weekend when he lines up in the Coupe Intercontinentale des Amateurs at Vincennes in France.
The Goulburn Valley horseman was selected by Harness Racing Victoria to compete in the prestigious amateur drivers’ event and will drive Genialissime (barrier 2) in race nine on the card.
The feature is held on the eve of the world-famous Prix d’Amérique meeting, giving Newberry the opportunity to experience one of the sport’s most iconic weekends on the global stage.
The Coupe Intercontinentale des Amateurs will be run early Sunday morning Australian time, with Newberry set to compete against leading amateur drivers from around the world at the famed Vincennes circuit.
Australian viewers can catch all the action live from 4.10am AEDT on Sunday.
