On 26 August 2026, the Harness Racing Victoria Board enacted Australian Harness Racing Rule 298(1) and imposed an 18-month disqualification on licensed trainer and driver Tony Romeo from 10 August 2026 to 10 February 2028.
The disqualification reciprocates the penalty imposed on Mr Romeo by Racing Victoria (RV) Stewards on 10 August 2026.
