OVERVIEW: In an incredible quirk of fate four of the top five horses in TAB’s overall Inter Dominion winner market will do battle in this fourth ID Pacing qualifier and what happens here will shape the way that market sways. What we can say with some certainty is that WRAPPERS DELIGHT (1) should lead from gate one, SAN CARLO (6) should breeze, SPANKEM (9) has options and TIGER TARA (12) will be set alight at some stage in proceedings. There were varying opinions on how well WRAPPERS DELIGHT (1) went on night one of this series and it must be of some concern that his rage could not be maintained over the final 100m of that heat but it must also be remembered that he’s won 10 of 12 times when leading in his races and if he’s going to claim this series then he must prevail tonight. For that reason he narrowly goes on top of SAN CARLO (6) who went huge on Saturday night and should get a relatively quiet death seat journey here tonight. That pair will control things for much of this short course affair which will make life hard for both TIGER TARA (12) and SPANKEM (9) though the former remains the benchmark runner in the series and the latter was the revelation of night one so rule them out of Quaddies at your own potential peril. A special mention must also go to MAXIMAN (8) at this juncture. He has been born again in recent weeks and after a super run on Saturday night he draws for a trip which should deliver him another bag of crucial points.
