OVERVIEW: The question marks surrounding the health and well-being of SHADOW SAX (7) muddy this race to some degree but one suspects even if that Cups King was firing on all cylinders he’d be very hard pressed to test IM PATS DELIGHT (2) Firstly, for those who haven’t witnessed much or any of this fellow’s Kiwi career that are wondering if he has the gate speed to use his beautiful draw, yes he does. In fact there is almost no chance anything will head him into the first turn. That means, on the back of a super effort on night one of this series, that he’s a near moral to lead these all the way. If he’s anything close to 100% right then SHADOW SAX (7) will be his major danger but if doubts linger, and they will, then also play strongly through JOES STAR OF MIA (3) who would have slept well on Saturday night and CANT REFUSE (8) who didn’t hit top gear until after the post on night one in all your multiple investments. The other critical runners from a series-long perspective here are FRANCO NELSON (4) who should be improved by his first run in some weeks on Saturday night and LET IT RIDE (12) who was woeful on the weekend and must bounce back in brutal fashion to be a factor from his nightmare gate tonight.
