OVERVIEW: He’s clearly a better horse on the pegs and out in front but anybody who remembers the night when CRUZ BROMAC (11) was three, four and five wide the trip from a second row draw yet still set a new short course benchmark at Tabcorp Park will have few concerns that he’s the one to beat tonight. In fact, if he’s driven with genuine aggression the only realistic danger tonight is GALACTIC STAR (12) who has proven he can run time, went enormous on night one of this series and should follow the favourite everywhere he goes. If the big guns play ducks and drakes at the rear of the field then there’s a small chance that whoever leads from AUDI HARE (2) or MACH DORO (6) could pinch the race but there’s nothing else engaged that can possibly cause an upset.
