The Bendigo Cup has had some absolute champions lift the trophy, with this Group 2 Cup kicking off what is a competitive month of harness racing. Names like Popular Alm (1982) Tailamade Lombo (2000), Smoken Up (2011) and more recently Lennytheshark (2016) have all taken out top honours. 2022 saw Spirit of St Louis win the cup as he went on to also win the Shepparton and Ballarat Cups in the consecutive weeks after.
