OVERVIEW: JESSICAS STORY (1) is perfectly drawn to suit her racing pattern over the sprint distance so she should continue her consistent form. She was caught up behind a tiring horse and finished off well once she gained a clear passage at her latest handy second. OX KNOX (5) is the class runner of the field but he hasn’t started since a fifth at Bendigo in May. He was competing at a much higher level during his last preparation and he has the early speed to be prominent throughout. He was a recent trial winner on the track. BUSLIN BRODY (2) was held up for a run at a vital stage and finished off quickly for a close second at Kilmore last outing. He is a tough type and is worth thought under these conditions. MISTA WALKER (4) is stepping up in class on his latest Cranbourne victory but he is racing in peak form and has claims along with DONA AMALIA (7), KISS AT MIDNIGHT (8) and KYVALLEY ANTHONY (11).

OVERVIEW: MIKI MARK (1) has been racing in good form against similar grade and is drawn to run his usual honest race. He sustained a long run from the 800m when he scored comfortably at Kilmore last week so there is no reason why he can’t win again. WHERES WOOD WOOD (9) has also been in good form having led throughout at her Echuca and Shepparton victories then followed with a second from off the pace behind Iamawingate last week. She performs best when she is able to lead so being drawn on the second line is a disadvantage but she should be competitive again. STANDANDELIVER (3) has had a lot of chances since his latest victory but his past two efforts have been encouraging. He finished reasonably well in a fast mile rate of 1.55.5 against stronger opposition at his latest third. VERY TEMPTING (6) performed below expectations last time out but was placed at his two efforts prior and is worth another chance. BLUE OCEAN (8) was placed after following inside runs throughout last outing and is a minor place chance again from his trailing draw.

OVERVIEW: MONEY TALKS (5) gained a nice trail throughout and finished off best to win at Kilmore then kicked on well for second behind Little Tedey last outing. This race is no harder and he should prove hard to beat again. JOE LOU (8) produced clearly a career best performance when he galloped early and came from tailed off to win impressively at Melton. He broke stride at the start again but couldn’t recover at his latest unplaced performance. He has gait issues but will go well if he delivers a fool proof display. KALARNEY PRINCE (9) will appreciate a slight drop back in class for this assignment and follows behind a fast beginner so he is worth a ticket each way. SONNYBOY (4) finished off best to win at Kilmore on June 18 but failed to run on as expected last outing. He possesses early speed and is worth another chance. FLING IT RAINBOW (6) is racing consistently against this class and has claims, particularly if he can get across to the markers shortly after the start.

| 10 | 98588 | SEA FINNIGAN Dr: Daryl Douglas | Stephen Clarke | Daryl Douglas | 8 | $31 | |||
OVERVIEW: BAY OF FIRES (5) is a debutante for trainer Wayne Potter, which was impressive in winning a Shepparton trial over the two times winner Dembe last week. He appears to be very promising and should make his presence felt. FANTASY FLIGHT (7) was also very good at the trials last week with a victory at Geelong and should go well first up. He hasn’t raced since a third behind Keayang Dreamgirl at Terang in March but showed enough ability last campaign to suggest he will be very competitive under these conditions. MISTY ALWAYS (3) was caught wide early, restrained to last and held her ground late when sixth at Kilmore last outing. She was placed in her two attempts prior and is worth another chance. GATSBY (1) is a juvenile colt taking on older horses but he has the ability to fill a place. He was in a striking position but broke stride with 500m when he was unplaced at his debut and has won a trial since. DIAMONDONTHEROCKS (8) led from a wide draw and was run down over the final stages when fourth at Shepparton last outing. He drops back to the second line now but he is capable of filling a place.

| 8 | 079259 | KYVALLEY MISTY Dr: SCRATCHED | Brent Lilley | SCRATCHED | $7.5 | ||||
OVERVIEW: PLAYA DEL CARMEN (3) has had a lot of chances since her latest victory but she strikes a very suitable assignment now and might be able to bounce back into winning form. She has been placed at her past three attempts by leading out then taking cover and she is likely to gain cover close to the pace again. BET BET HOTSHOT (2) has competed against stronger opposition at his past two attempts and should be able to improve on his numerical form under these conditions. He was runner up behind Lavengers Boy after setting the speed at Maryborough on June 29. SUZYS DREAM (4) also drops back in grade for this assignment and is not without a chance. KYVALLEY MISTY (8) moved up without cover and tired over the concluding stages ($2-90 fav) at Bendigo last outing. She has been a beaten favourite at her past two attempts but is worth another chance against this line up. LOVE WHO (5) has been placed in two of his past three starts and has the early speed to be prominent throughout.

OVERVIEW: ALDEBARAN MISTIQUE (3) trailed the leader and kept on chipping away when second behind Pleasure To Have at Shepparton last week. That was her first run since November so she should be fitter and is a good chance of going one better here. MI BOW (6) is a maiden from 29 starts but she has been placed in five of her past seven starts and gains her opportunity to break through for a win against this line up. She missed away badly and had excuses at her latest ninth. OUR TINKA BELLE (2) is a first starter for trainer Fred Spiteri, which has performed fairly well at the trials and is not without a chance. Her latest trial third was behind the handy trotter Scar (won since). DANCE WITH ROXY (4) finished fourth in a race of similar standard at Geelong two starts ago and is a minor place hope.

OVERVIEW: DELIGHTFUL MIKI (3) recorded a strong victory when she was resuming since December then copped plenty of pressure in the front running role when a game second behind Savon De Roche (won again since). She is a classy mare and is drawn to make her presence felt. HILTONS SPIRIT (4) settled in a rearward position and produced a barnstorming finish for second to Vivid Dream at Cranbourne last outing. He is racing consistently and looms as one of the leading chances again. MAXBECA (7) is resuming since April but he was racing in outstanding form at the end of his last preparation with victories in fast time at Bendigo and Charlton. He was runner up at a recent Maryborough trial effort and is not to be underestimated. GOOD DAY (9) performs best when he is able to lead so being drawn on the second row is a disadvantage but he does appear to be well placed against this field. BLAZIN BY (5) and TRYX VIXEN (6) have both been in winning form and cannot be left out of calculations.
