** A betting unit is typically a percentage of the total bankroll or the amount of money you are willing to risk on a particular bet – for example 1 unit is 10% of your bankroll, therefore a $100 bankroll 1 unit equals $10

SELECTIONS: SPESHAL (5), GREAT HORIZON (4), LEZAMA (3), DONNYOSKO (1)

OVERVIEW: SPESHAL (5) has been placed at her past four attempts and deserves to break through for a win. She worked to the front, took cover at the 1100m and ran a game second behind Ripping Ronaldo at Maryborough two starts ago. GREAT HORIZON (4) is a maiden from 21 starts but she is trotting consistently and is worth thought. She was headed off at the start, settled three back on the markers and was held up for a run at a vital stage at her latest fourth. LEZAMA (3) is likely to progress forward at the start and will take catching if she is able to run to the lead in the early stages. She battled on bravely for a close second behind Keayang Zia at Geelong two starts ago. DONNYOSKO (1) is resuming since a third behind the talented trotter Verbici in May and hasn’t been to the trials. He is a juvenile trotter taking on older horses but he has shown enough ability to be competitive from the pole position.
