OVERVIEW: RIO ROCK (7) finished off quite well for second behind Prioritise last week and beat the majority of today’s opposition to the line in the process so she is capable of going one better. KEAYANG MOROCCAN (8) settled in a rearward position and finished fifth last week. He was placed at his previous five attempts against similar opposition and he should be finding the line strongly from his trailing draw. MODERN GINGER (5) was headed off at the start and ended up being three back on the markers when he finished off well for third last week. He was a winner over I BET YOU (1) in April and he is a winning chance again if he can obtain a forward position at the start. UNITED (2) and JAXON BEACH (3) both possess early speed and are capable of improving on their numerical form.

OVERVIEW: TOUGH AINT ENOUGH (8) has returned from a break in great form and will prove hard to beat again. MIDNIGHT PIRATE (2) won twice in succession prior to a strong second behind AVOCA BLUES (3) at Mildura on August 08. He performs best when he is close to the speed so he is perfectly drawn to suit his racing pattern and he is sure to make his presence felt. AVOCA BLUES (3) was expertly driven to gain the perfect trip behind MIDNIGHT PIRATE (2) when he scored two starts ago then finished second after trailing the leader throughout at Mildura last week. He is racing in peak form and is one of the leading chances again. KIALLA KID (4) is resuming since October but has been performing well at the trials and GO AWAY AGAIN (9) will appreciate a drop back in class for this assignment.

OVERVIEW: MAGGIE MOTH (5) has been placed at her past five starts and strikes a very suitable assignment first up. She finished fifth behind the subsequent winner Reign Em In at a recent Bendigo trial performance and she has been placed in four of her five starts at Mildura previously. YOU ARE MY SOUL (2) began quickly and attempted to lead throughout when second behind Cheddar Me This at Mildura last outing. She continues to improve with the benefit of racing and is drawn to give another forward showing. SHEEZ SLASHING (3) was placed behind She Is Lovely at Charlton three starts ago and competed against stronger opposition last week so she is not without a chance. BETTOR DOO (6), ALIENFROMARMSTRONG (7) and BRING MY BLING (10) are all worth thought in multiple combinations.

OVERVIEW: CAULONIA BELLA (10) finished off well and got up to defeat the very smart pacer My Ultimate Jimmy three starts ago and she was placed in a strong race at Leeton last week. She is poorly drawn but will be hard to hold out in the run to the finish. SONORA SUNSET (5) has been placed in all of her seven starts to date and looms as the logical danger. She attempted to lead throughout but sustained a flat tyre when third behind CAULONIA BELLA (10) at her latest attempt. CATHERINE (1) is a fast beginner and is drawn to receive every chance. She commenced from the second line and did some work in the run when fourth ($1-85 fav) at Mildura last week. TAMALIA (4) is a first starter for trainer Boris Devcic, which has been placed in two recent trial performances so she must be kept safe.

OVERVIEW: DANNY RAY (11) finished off well from midfield when third behind Stonebridge Star at Mildura last week. He is poorly drawn but strikes a suitable field and is getting close to a win. MARIAHS SHADOW (10) has been unplaced at her past four attempts but she was in fantastic form prior having won six races for the season so she must be respected. She is a tough type and will take beating if she can return to her peak form. BOSS MAJOR (1) has been below his best form in recent efforts at Globe Derby but he has won twenty-five races in his career so he appears to be well placed against this class. CALF PEN (8) disappointed last week but he recently dropped back into this suitable grade so he can improve on his recent numerical form.

OVERVIEW: PUNTO CALIENTE (2) is racing in good form and is drawn to give a bold showing. He finished off best to win at Mildura two starts ago then couldn’t work into the race after settling in a rearward position last week. CHEERS POVERTY (1) performs best when he is close to the speed so he is perfectly drawn to suit his racing pattern. He led throughout to win four starts ago so he should take catching over the sprint distance. STARVIN MARVIN (8) worked hard to find the lead then took cover when fourth behind Pottsy The Guru last outing. He did well after racing without cover when second behind Ultimate Ego two starts ago and he is nearing a win against this class. KEAYANG CRIPPA (5) missed out last week but his form prior was sound so he is worth another chance. FLYIN TOMMY (6), RONZEL MICKY (10) and APOLOGY ACCEPTED (11) are all worth thought in an open betting event.

OVERVIEW: ELLAVA PACER (4) worked very hard early and endured a tough trip when a brave second in the heat won by SHES POPPY (10) last week. She won at her previous two attempts after finding the lead and she is a good chance of leading again so she should prove hard to beat. POTTSY THE GURU (5) is shooting for three straight victories and is a good chance of completing the task. He was suited in a genuinely run event when he stormed home to score in his heat last week and he continues to improve with the benefit of experience. SNEAKY PHILTRA (3) is a versatile mare, which set up a genuine tempo and was run down over the latter stages when a close up third last week. She should run her usual honest race from her good draw. ULTIMATE EGO (6) produced a brave performance when second last week and STONEBRIDGE STAR (7) should be finishing off strongly.

OVERVIEW: FEARFULL DRAGON (12) is a handy South Australian trained pacer, which led throughout and blitzed his rivals when a big winner at his Mildura debut last week. He is not as well drawn for this assignment but will prove hard to beat again. STYLISH GEM (8) appreciated a drop back in class when she finished off best to win comfortably at Mildura on August 08. She gets into this race well with a concession claim and looms as one of the leading chances again. FLOJOS GOLD (3) finished third behind the in-form pacer My Ultimate Jimmy at Mildura last week. She is racing consistently and was a winner at Mildura on June 06 so she is worth a ticket each way. FLAME BLASTER (10) is capable of sprinting to the line quickly with the right trail forward and came from a long way back when third last week. He is worth thought along with ANGELS WATCHING (2) and ZANY GIRL (4).
