HRV Industry Notice – Amendments to the Australian Harness Racing Rules and Australian Trotting Stud Book Regulations

Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) has adopted amendments to the Australian Harness Racing Rules (AHRR) that have been approved by Harness Racing Australia (HRA).

HRV has also adopted amendments to the Australian Trotting Stud Book Regulations(ATSBR) that have been approved by HRA.

The amendments to the AHRR (except the amendments to AHRR 156(2) and AHRR 194B)come into effect in Victoria on 1 October 2026.

The amendments to AHRR 156(2) and AHRR 194B come into effect in Victoria on 1 January 2027.

The amendments to the ATSBR come into effect in Victoria on 1 October 2026.

13. Sire Summary Sheet and related matters

– Renumber existing regulation 13(12) to 13(13)

– Add new regulation 13(12)

14. Sire Forms

– Renumber existing regulation 14(2) to 14(2)(a)

– Amend regulation 14(2)(a)

– Add new regulation 14(2)(b)

16. Notification of Foaling

– Amend regulation 16(6)

– Add new regulation 16(7)

All persons bound by the AHRR and the ATSBR must familiarise themselves with the amendments.
