Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) advises participants that the trial of the proposed push out position rule at Melton Entertainment Park will conclude effective immediately. The push out position will revert to its original location.
HRV thanks everyone who took part in the trial and assisted with testing the proposed change. As part of the trial, HRV asked participants to complete a survey and provide feedback on their experience, including any concerns or suggestions.
While the response to the survey was lower than we had hoped, the feedback received did identify a clear theme. Most participants who responded considered there was merit in moving the position and provided feedback in support of further consideration of the change.
HRV and the Victorian Trainers and Drivers Association (VTDA) will now work through the feedback received and consider the next steps. A further update will be provided to participants in the near future.
The feedback provided by participants is an important part of any trial like this. Those who are out on the track and involved in racing each week are best placed to identify what works, what does not and what may need to change.
We encourage participants to take the opportunity to provide feedback when HRV and the VTDA undertake future trials or seek industry input. Constructive feedback helps us properly assess proposed changes and, importantly, gives participants a voice in how the sport develops.
HRV thanks everyone who participated in the trial and looks forward to continuing to work with the industry on this and other initiatives.
