Victoria is set to have a say in Saturday night’s Group 1 Haras Des Trotteurs The Great Square after Rockinwithattitude and Shes Ruby Roo drew the front row for the $150,000 event.
The Jess Tubbs-prepared Shes Ruby Roo has barrier four for the 2138m feature, while the David Miles-trained-and-driven Rockinwithattitude has gate six.
Miles’ four-year-old finished second in last week’s lead-up event, The Stellar Square.
“She was really good last week. She got a little bit tired, but I do think she will be better for the run,” Miles said. “She had a good blow after it and she has pulled up absolutely super.”
The Monegetta horseman is confident the daughter out of Rockin Shiraz will do what she does best.
“There is a lot of speed underneath us. Her asset is going forward and putting them to the sword. We will do that again this week and hopefully we can get across them without too much trouble,” he said.
“We are happy going into it.”
Rockinwithattitude finished fourth in last year’s edition of The Great Square.
“She is much better this year than last,” Miles said. “She is going faster and she is stronger. On her sectionals, if she can find the front and break 56 it is going to take a pretty good horse to beat her.”
Last year’s winner London To A Brick has drawn seven, while Bet N Win, who won last week's The Stellar Square, has gate 11.
