Bendigo to kick-start brilliant Breeders Crown series

The path towards Breeders Crown glory begins this Friday night in Bendigo.

The three-year-old pacers set the lucrative series alight when they compete in heats at Lords Raceway, before the two-year-olds step out for the first round of qualifiers at Maryborough on Sunday.

Also at Maryborough, the squaregaiters will look to win their way through to Group 1 finals when they tackle heats on November 10.

Pacing semi-finals have been scheduled for all divisions at Tabcorp Park on November 12 before eight elite level finals for horses of both gaits– totalling more than $1.5million in prizemoney – are staged back at headquarters on November 19.

A range of Breeders Crown graduate and consolation races will also be run through November.

This Breeders Crown heats are part of a big week of feature racing in Victoria, with the pacing and trotters cups at Yarra Valley locked in for Thursday afternoon, and Group 3 Benstud Standardbreds Rising Stars Pace Final highlighting the Saturday night Melton card.
