A mere neck prevented a punting white wash at Tabcorp Park Melton on Friday night, with this week’s TAB.com.au Big Bets largely missing the mark with the exception of Emma Stewart’s four-year-old trotter.
A recent arrival from New Zealand, Missucci kicked off her Australian career with a win at Cranbourne and then followed up with a second on the trot at Melton last Friday, when she was heavily backed despite being deep in the red.
That confidence was rewarded with the four-year-old mare getting up by a neck from Namoscar, but the remaining Big Bets weren’t so fortunate.
