TAB Breeders Crown Semi-Finals night has become one of the annual highlights on the Australasian harness racing calendar.

Contestants from far and wide target the series, with five Kiwi pacers, 11 from New South Wales, a West Australian and horses from all parts of Victoria chasing the Race to Royalty riches.

The action at Bendigo starts at 5.33pm and the first eight events on the action-packed 12-race program are Breeders Crown Semi-Finals.

Sky Racing experts Jason Bonnington and Brittany Graham will ensure viewers receive the best up-close-to-the-action experience possible on Sky Racing 1, with extended coverage featuring race previews and reviews, interviews from the parade ring and in those key seconds before score-up plus lots more.

“Since the Breeders Crown Semi-Finals have returned to their spiritual home at Lord’s Raceway we have had some sensational nights, but it will go to the next level this year with Sky generously sending Brittany Graham down to host the coverage while I’ll be out hunting for interviews in the stables, the parade ring and on-track,” Bonnington said.

“Without doubt the two Semi-Finals I’m looking forward to most will be those for the three-year-old colts and geldings, but I’ll also be intrigued to see whether Our Princess Tiffany can bounce back in her preliminary and also whether Perfect Stride can spice up the baby boys’ division with a dominant triumph in Race 3.”

On RSN radio, Bonnington’s GoodForm mate Blake Redden will be delivering listeners his exclusive late mail and trying to find another “Out To Play” style winner, who saluted after Redden tipped him at $151 fixed odds during the Alabar Vicbred Super Series.

“It’s going to be a big night on RSN. I’ll be in the studio with all the pre-race tips and post-race summaries of all the action across the 12-race card,” Redden said.

“We’ll also be keeping punters up to date with all the additional info including the barrier draws and news from the track, so keep the dial tuned to RSN 927.”

Speaking of the barrier draws, these will be streamed live at Harness Racing Victoria Trots Media’s Facebook page.

Hosted by Cody Winnell and Toby McKinnon, the draws will occur after each race following Race 3, with the final draw concluding after the 10th race.

“As a trots fan you have to love Breeders Crown Semi-Final night and I’m thrilled to be working with Toby McKinnon as we deliver the action live from the barrier draws on-track as the marbles are drawn,” Winnell said.

“Streaming the barrier draws via Facebook allows Trots Vision at thetrots.com.au to focus solely on the racing action, including the content via Sky from Jason and Brittany. Additionally the interviews with the winners after each race will be streamed with our Trots Vision hosts Paul Campbell and Kirsten Graham, and of course the race calls from the voice of Victorian harness racing, Dan Mielicki.”

Punters looking to study up on Saturday night’s big card have a huge boost this year with the GoodForm Punters Paradise live now.

“When you’ve analysed these races all week there is so much anticipation involved and I’m so rapt we can once again deliver not only my thoughts, but also those of Blake Redden via the Punters Paradise platform at thetrots.com.au,” Bonnington said.

“It won’t guarantee you success, but with speed maps, preview videos, gate speed ratings and much more you’d hope that we can at least give the punters a fighting chance.”

Meanwhile, Michael Howard will capture all the breaking news, colour and excitement of Semi-Final Night via the popular Race Night Live Blog at thetrots.com.au.
