Gifted pacer Captain Ravishing is a late scratching from tonight’s Pryde’s EasiFeed Victoria Cup with an elevated temperature.
Disappointed trainer Ahmed Taiba stressed there was nothing seriously wrong with the four-year-old.
“There’s nothing more important than his welfare and we just couldn’t risk him,” he said.
“Hopefully he’s over it really quickly and we can set our sights on the NZ Cup next month.”
