Cobram’s cup meeting moved due to forecast heat

Cobram Harness Racing Club’s cup meeting this Sunday has been shifted due to an extreme weather forecast for the region.

Following consultation between Harness Racing Victoria’s Racing and Integrity teams and the Cobram club, a decision was made to transfer the meeting to Monday, January 6. This is to ensure the safety and welfare of racing animals and participants.

The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) forecasts a top of 40 degrees in Cobram on Sunday.

According to the BOM, Monday’s forecast is much kinder with a high of 33.

Monday’s first race is scheduled for 1.11pm.
